After the success of the first volume of remixes comes this, a second album full of great reinterpretations of Renato Ratier’s fantastic debut album Black Belt. 

The album showcased the D Edge owner, resident and label boss’s great range of production prowess. It touched on house, disco, techno and everything in between and now gets reworked by a carefully handpicked selection of guests. 

Brazilian heroes like Anderson Noise turn up to tackle Fetisshu, Chicago house heiress Kate Simko also appears with her version of Kozaboa and tech house stalwarts Tiefschwarz lend their vision to 3 Bulls. 

Elsewhere the likes of Visionquest’s Laura Jones, Dutch man Boris Werner, Visionquest member Ryan Crosson and Trouw resident Nuno Dos Santos all get called upon to turn in their own remixes. 

The result is a fantastic album that breathes plenty of new life into the originals and shows that the label and Renato himself have their finger on the pulse when it comes to international acts with a really unique production voice.

This new song once again features the stunning vocals of Sutja Gutierrez, a skilled singer who also appears on ‘The Show’ (the first single taken from the album) and ‘Someone in the Sky’ (second single).

The icing of this freshly baked cake is thanks to the remixers: Renato Cohen and dubspeeka, both highly respected artists, complete the diversified and sophisticated electronic journey of the Spanish talent. The São Paulo-based Cohen gives us our Debut Transmission, which demonstrates once again his natural talent on the groove, utilising snippets of the original's dynamic vocal layered with scratchy percussion loops. It’s time to deliver the second EP from Adana Twins’ latest mix compilation and with this one we set the focus to the more organic and off kilter leanings from Lehar, SBTH, Acid Pauli, Musumeci and Stereocalypse. 

Kicking things off is Italy’s Lehar with his super slick ‘Blue Wolf’ where robust percussions culminate in a potent groove laying the foundation for lush sonic melodies that transport you into uniquely sublime spaces. SBTH follows with the exceptionally unique ‘4W1R6’ where they forgo the standard four-to-the-floor approach and employ a distinguished and uncommonly unique 3/4 time signature to full effect creating a swelling and brooding number assuring a definite, clear memory long after it ends. 

Flipping to the B-side we see the renowned Acid Pauli in top form as he relies heavily on thick organic percussion and plush musicality with his ‘Greetings From Orgonon’ before switching gears as Musumeci delivers a stunner with ‘Invaders’ where past meets present as Disco, Techno and House all meet in one harmonious culmination. To round out the EP, Stereocalypse’s ‘Jubeelee!’ is an expertly crafted venture into the modern techniques of infectious Afro-House concluding an extremely well rounded EP showcasing the diversity of Adana Twins selection and diversity.

Florian Kruse (Last Night On Earth / Kompakt)

There aren’t many people that can say that they have devoted their entire life to electronic music, Florian is most certainly one of them. DJ, producer, lecturer, plus label owner? Yes, Kruse has ticked all the boxes. 

His passion for music began in his hometown in Northern Germany. An avid reader of Frontline magazine, and later the Raveline, his love for electronic music was born at 14, when he bought his first turntable. Early influences included legends such as Moodyman, Herbert and Steve Bug. At 16, Kruse invested in his first sampler, a mixer and a keyboard. With music in mind, he made the natural migration to Hamburg in 2002, where he studied Audio Engineering, and later taught at SAE. 
Long time in the game, he started his music career in 2007, with his first vinyl release on Stokholms, Heya Hifi. Since then, Kruse has only grown as both a producer and a DJ. With Stel Vassiloudis and Nils Nuernberg, he became project Wiretappeur, with releases on Bedrock and a remix for label head honcho John Digweed. Nils Nuernberg quickly became his partner in crime, and together became the production duo Kruse & Nuernberg, their hypnotic Deep House sound making appearances on Liebe*Detail, Exploited, and Rejected. In 2008 they started their own label, Save Room Recordings. 
A focus on his own productions, Kruse plunged into a solo career with a release on Anjunadeep, working together with his older brother Vincenzo and one of his long time idols Lisa Shaw. Followed by releases on Noir Music, Poker Flat Recordings, Stil Vor Talent, Joris Voorn’s GREEN imprint, Kompakt, Last Night On Earth and Suara and remixes by Noir, Eagles & Butterflies, Joris Voorn, Pleasurekraft, Coyu, David Morales and the list of releases and remixes goes on. After a couple of feature tracks with singer / songwriter Hendrik Burkhard Florian and Hendrik started a LIVE project presenting ‘TheGround’ with an album (Dediction) in October 2017 on Steve Bug’s Audimatique label.
With long time passion for house and techno that dates back to the early years, Kruse is first and foremost a DJ, taking his signature sound to world renowned clubs. Now settled in the German capital, Berlin, a true hub for electronic music, with regular DJ appearances at the city's infamous underground clubs.
