The conceptual brainchild of Turkish-born, Barcelona-based DJ and producer, ELIF @elifmusique, Marginalia is a new home for largely undiscovered electronic artists to express their unbridled creativity within a framework of absolute sonic freedom. Established as a platform to support, nurture and develop the incredible output of the producers whose music forms the backbone of ELIF's DJ sets worldwide, Marginalia represents a forward-thinking community that looks to discover and bolster the profiles of the hardest working – often least rewarded – individuals in the music industry; individuals without whom the scene’s ecosystem would collapse entirely.

A safe haven for the organic development and progress of artistic creativity
and intellectual collaboration, the concept of Marginalia itself dates back to the 11th Century and references the wildly inventive notes, markings, doodles and sketches made in the margins of medieval books and scriptures — a place where the human imagination was free to run wild.

“Whether we are aware of it or not, one of the fundamental ways we all digest what we read, hear, see and experience is to absorb the thoughts, musings and broken fragments of others”, says ELIF. “It’s these very fragments that help us connect ideas and spur critical thinking, and it perfectly represents the type of creative dialogue I’m looking to achieve with Marginalia”.

Stimulating uninhibited creativity and avant-garde thinking by creating a land of self-expression, artistic freedom and collaboration, ELIF now looks to translate this age-old tradition into a twenty-first century paradigm and give back to the incredible pool of artists to whom she owes so much.

Flor Pavone was born in Mercedes, Buenos Aires. Her passion for music began in her childhood. Her earliest influences were classical music and rock. Over time, she discovered artists such as Gustavo Cerati, Flavio Etcheto, Daft Punk, Bjork, Depeche Mode, Moby, Underworld, Justice, Röyksopp, among others.
She began her career as a DJ in 2019 in Buenos Aires and Mercedes (Buenos Aires), focusing her sets on genres such as Progressive House, Deep House, Melodic House and Organic House.
Her goal is to convey an awakening of consciousness, deep conection with sound vibrations, and achieve a hypnotic and meditative state, while also awakening the vital energy of listeners.
Influenced by DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy Mantzur, Satoshie Tommie, Nick Warren, Arina Mur, and Amonita, among others. She shared the booth with progressive house icons such as Dmitry Molosh, Baunder, and Paul Deep.
She participated in festivals such as Fuego de Vida and has also displayed her art at various events in her hometown, the surrounding areas (Luján, Buenos Aires), and in Buenos Aires City, at Downtempo Rooftop.
She recently entered the world of production, co-producing her own tracks with other artists, including her own vocals. Becoming part of labels like Nightcolors Recordings.
