Many decades ago, the amazing and multifaceted David Blair spent a short while crashing in my home town before settling in Detroit. At the time, he was just learning the basics of guitar. His innate musicianship and poetic prowess took us all by surprise. Even he was a little wowed. Digging through my stuff recently, I found a boom-box recording of a song of his from then. The cassette is labeled only “David Blair”, but the lyric “My One True Companion” stands out as a good choice for a title. His life cut terribly short, I was thinking it would be lovely tribute if people made remixes and reworks of this fantastic and almost-lost track. Please let me know if you decide to participate. Be creative, respectful and have fun! I’ll make a playlist of all the takes. Thanks!

My music is freely improvised, usually on VST synthesizers, sometimes fretless bass, guitar, occasionally electric viola or cello, with a variety of effects pedals. Solo music is performed live and recorded as 'FlownBlue'.  I am also in four improvising duos: 'Windfall Light' (with Jim Tetlow), 'Abstract Blue' (with Kevin Buckland), 'Light Fragments' (with Steve Escott), and Szukanie (with Michał Wojciechowski).
