07 Sand Drifts [Metalogue & Fluff]

I'm an east London producer, song writer, sound designer and vocalist. 'Fluff' is my solo project. (I'm the other half of trip-hop duo www.soundcloud.com/silverstreaks). 

Fluff music is a mix of critical social commentary and personal life stories. Music expresses what words often can't, and I would love for my audience to resonate with it. Everyone has a song they particularly enjoy, the song that speaks to them and that they deeply connect with. I want to create that song.

I originally come from a classical music background and have a degree in conceptual art/design from the University of the Arts London. Influenced by indie/art rock in the late 90s, darkwave and the electroclash scene in the mid 00s, Fluff-music is an arty mix of traditional songwriting, indie, electronic, goth, ethereal/synth pop and experimental/cinematic sound design. 
Field recordings and layers of audio textures add suggestive sounds in order to evoke raw and visceral emotions in the listener.

Fluff music is cynical, extremely emotional, critical and occasionally fabulous with a little tongue-in-cheek.

'Down the Rabbit Hole' is a reflection on our world as it is today. Greedy, destructive, homogenised, selfish and exploitative. But we're resilient creatures. There are some fun, light-hearted tongue-in-cheek stories of adaptation and survival by becoming pretty fabulous.

A dark, sonic post-apocalyptic nightmare vision, dealing with events of the recent past, present and not so distant future: Social apathy, lethargy and indifference, public obedience, compliance and conformity, social paranoia, genetic mutations, nuclear threat, post apocalypse and human extinction.
