Having released two albums on Soma and another one PoleGroup, Lewis Fautzi is no stranger to the long player format. Launching Faut Section in 2013, 'Insanity Department' is the label's debut album and follows an illustrious few years for Fautzi who's appeared on the likes of Bpitch, Warm Up and Figure, mixed PoleGroup's sixth volume of 'Unknown Landscapes', not to mention DJed at venues like Berghain, Gare Porto, Tresor and Lux Fragil to name a few.

Opening with the subterranean 'Insane', the album is a distinct blend of atmospheric textures and bold melodies forming seven refined tracks not geared for peaktime techno sets. Tracks like 'Conspiracy' feature a stuttering beat and echoing notes whilst the intricate pitter-patter qualities of 'Physicians' generate a mesmerising aesthetic from start to finish.

Downtempo cuts like 'Determination Of Insanity' steadily march forward whilst cavernous synths pulsate throughout, leading into the ominous 'Wounds Of Deadly Hate' with its twisted drums and soaring synths. Nearing the end, 'The Science Behind' is driven by murky pads and piercing chords until 'Obscenity' concludes the album with syncopated kicks and uplifting arrangements.

Since its launch in 2015, Parabel has established itself as one of the main Swedish techno imprint with very well received EPs by local artists Joel Mull, Patrick Siech, Nima Khak, The Persuader, Petter B or Patrik Skoog.

Parabel steps up with Joel Mull’s fourth LP ‘Arrow Of Time’, his first album in eight years and the first LP to be released on the label.

If you’ve listened to techno in the past twenty years, Joel Mull won’t need any introduction, with three previous LPs released on prestigious labels Inside, Harthouse and Truesoul, and regular EPs appearing on Drumcode, Cocoon, Mary Go Wild or Kanzlermant to name a few.

This new album is influenced by traveling, time and the future’s point of direction. It is melancholic, cinematic, with the soul of techno at its heart. Here is the concept hiding behind it in the artist’s own words:

”We all have moments when we think about time, I do, especially when I travel. There is a certain loose feeling when I write music and sketch on ideas while I’m in a moving object that is blasting throughout space, such as a plane or a train.

These moments are more intense for me than, for example, when I’m working on ideas in the studio. The studio is amazing but it can also be too structured. When I look out of a window and have a moving canvas in front, it directly adds emotion and easily inspires me.

‘Arrow Of Time’ is the inspiration to this album’s title. It is both the time capsule that we all travel in and the journey that you do every time you listen to music.

Most of the ideas behind the tracks have then been recorded in my home studio adding a few instruments to the mix such as the Roland sh101, Lyra 8 the Roland tr8 and through the Elektron Analog Heat to get it to glow a bit more.Then processing it on my laptop with plugins from UAD, Softube, Soundtoys and with my favorite software Ableton.

The album could not sound complete and get released to the outside world without the help of my favorite mastering engineer Walter Coelho.”

When I started my journey into music, more than 18 years ago, there were so many grounds to explore.
I started exploring techno music, but little by little my concerns went beyond. This album that I share with you today is a sample of my experimental tracks, which I made along all those years. 
Some of this tracks were made more than 15 years ago. 
I had the good fortune to exhibit them @ Mutek in Barcelona a few years ago, but I never found the time to release them.
Today I have decided to publish them for free, the free download is activated in my soundcloud account.
Music has always been my channel of expression, my source of life, my devotion and I feel blessed in this life every day for being able to share it with the world.

A virtuozo of late-night dance-inducing techno frenzies in steamy clubs, Oliver Deutschmann is back with his second release on ‚made of Concrete‘, aptly entitled 'School Of Hard Floors'.

Named after dancefloors in Berlin’s stalwart clubs, this release kicks off with 'Globus', a mesmerizing slice of whirlwind zippy techno with dark vocals and a contagious bassline. 'Oben' channels spacious, acid-tinged pads with hints of murky chants into a construction that's great for creating and sustaining a surreal stretch of enigmatic tension. The last original track of the offering, 'Gate' tunnels through an obscure sound artery, accented with scintillating synth bleeps gradually radiating into a burgeoning, light-leak reminiscing breakdown.

Hosts Rebar choose 'Oben', arguably the darkest track on the release for the remix treatment, adding swelling, arpeggiated glitched out pads that give the track a larger-than-life, bigger-than-the-room feel that captivates instantly.

Mariglen Tafciu (Fanatek) is a DJ from Tirana with an eclectic style of playing. When he is playing, Fanatek never fails to make people dance, and this is one of the big reasons why he is in such a high demand in the capital's club scene. His style involves miscellaneous genres such as: progressive house, melodic techno, and when he is playing as part of the duo MAST, even hypnotic and old school techno.

The second solo EP from Téo Dréan on Affûté is a four-tracker of atmospheric and emotional techno. It is in his own home that the Frenchman felt most comfortable showing he's got more strings to his bow.

'Protagoniste' blends a pounding kick with daunting vocals, while 'Consul' is a hyper-detailed and groove-focussed cut. The label head takes us then on a dark, yet soothing trip with 'Crapule' and 'Fourbe', by pairing drony soundscapes with hypnotizing piano melodies.

Flug, as his name suggests, allows his audience to take a trip back to their roots, back to their inner self and what it is to really feel techno. In venues such as, Space Ibiza, Arena Club Berlin, Rex Paris, Moog Barcelona, Hyte Amsterdam, and MAYDAY, Dortmund to name a few, the Argentinian´s definition of techno has been clearly demonstrated not only through his DJ sets that are as devastating as they are uplifting with his serious kick drums, use of hi-hats and reverberating basslines, but also through driving his own organically produced techno forward with an EP released on CLR - 'Sincrodestino', and remixes for SOMA - Slam Reverse Proceed Remixes, only to scratch the surface, cutting his industrially chizzled sound with melodical rythms both elegant and almost eloquent in nature.

His music is now recognised and played worldwide having artists such as, Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer, Len Faki, Dave Clark, Ben Sims, Speedy J, DVS1, Pfirter, Oscar Mulero, among many others, as supporters of his work.

Flug´s unrivaled and brutal self-discipline in the studio, his humbleness in approach, his fierce passion for and overall dedication to the cause, as well as having grown up living and breathing electronic music, have given Flug, real name Sebastian, a long and welcoming insight into what it really means to be a DJ and producer in today's techno world, which in his opinion, means keeping it real.

Having a solid carrer in what he truly loves, Flug now plans to start his own record label early next year with his new album 'The Man Behind the Artist', already in the pipeline to be edited and released on one of Berlin's record labels, Enemy at the end of 2015. The album, when finished, will be by far his most personal and reflective piece of work, as it is, in his words, "statement of freedom".
