Q. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
 
I was born in Nottingham June 1989, my father left us when I was 3 years old with no contact. My mum ended up having to fend for her self and raised me as a single parent.
From when I very first started school to when I left school i went through terrible bullying which led me to being hospitalized having a lot of time off school and moving from one school to another as I could never get away from the bullies. eventually when i thought id got away to a school as far as possible it got worse.
The one thing that I always found as a comfort to me was the ability to be able to sing and write songs which naturally helped me express my feelings and was the one thing that I was in total control of.
The first time I ever performed some of the people who bullied me in the past were present and although they didn't like the fact that I was doing something they were envious.
  I felt really good inside because for the first time in my life I felt that I was standing up against them which gave me more confidence as time moved on which has made me a much stronger person today.
I love being on stage because when I perform it is like a release of energy which makes me feel good and strong inside and many people have said I’m like a different person on stage.
 
Q.Where do you usually gather song writing inspiration? What is your usual song writing process?
 
I get my song writing inspiration from events that have recently happened and emotions that I'm going through at the time, I write the lyrics first then work with my producer to help put music to the words I have written.

Q. Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips? 
 
Always keep your feet on the ground, always be willing to take constructive criticism and help from people that know what there doing in the industry.
you need as many friends as you can get in this business as theirs a lot of people out there that will try and rip you off and ruin your career.
I'm a big believer in putting in the hard work which means doing open mic gigs.
getting your name out there as well as recording your own material and doing social networking. its the old fashioned way but by the far the best.
 
Q.If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
 
Ive always wanted to perform with Eminem because he's a legend and he is amazing at what he does.
I'd also have loved to perform with Dusty Springfield because she was a wonderful person and had an amazing vocal.
It would be also fantastic to have the opportunity to perform with Nicole Scherzinger as she has an incredible vocal! and also a great performer. she always shows great emotion and really expresses her songs in a meaningful way. 
Susan Boyle would be an interesting artist to perform with as we both have Aspergers syndrome, it would be a very special moment to be able to perform with some one like that. It would have to be at the 02 arena or at the Wembley stadium as they are just the best venues in the UK lol!

Q. So what’s next? Any new upcoming projects ?
 
I've recently co- written a song called "Dontcha go" with my amazing producer Jorden Milnes. It's a fusion of retro sounds colliding with modern synths and D&B beats. We have made the music video which I am so pleased with! It's based in modern day but we are all living in a retro bubble. Back to the 60's with mods on scooters and retro cars and every one dressed in the iconic fashion from the era which is a decade that will never be forgotten. The shoot was a day that I and everyone one who kindly took part will never forget it was like being back in the past. The video is based on a woman and guys relationship that is not going very well. The guy is not paying any attention to his girlfriend and being very unaffectionate towards her and she is starting to really feel the pain. It is a very confusing relationship as even though he doesn't seem bothered about her he gets jealous if he thinks shes looking at some one else in an innocent way and makes a huge deal about it as you will acknowledge in the video. The exiting twist to the story as towards the end the girl friend chases after him with her friends and he thinks shes going to beg for him back in actual fact it is quite the opposite, her face turns and she pushes him away and ends the relationship with the upper hand!, showing him shes not putting up with it anymore and shes gone! her face really shows its the best thing she could have done she gets in to the lovely car as they all drive off leaving him standing there. This is my Debut single to be released very soon! :)
 
Q.If you weren't making music, what would you be doing? 
 
if I wasn't  making music I don't no what I'd be doing. Singing and making music is the only thing i'm really good at. but I have done a little modeling in the past which I really enjoyed.
 
Q.Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your mind?
 
The first album I bought was the Spice Girls! A memory i'll never forget! :)
 
Q.How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life? 
 
I live by my diary with out it I would be lost.

Q.If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
 
I'd spend my time recording a new album and I would do some very exiting videos in some great locations around the world,. I suppose you could call it a working holiday he he!
 
Q.What should fans look forward too for the rest of 2014 and beyond

Indifferentmonkey (The Story so far)

From a love of making music is indifferentMonKeY. Based in Morecambe, Lancashire the band only started releasing in Sept 2021. Since then so much has happened! The band are influenced by an eclectic mix of Trip Hop, Heavy Rock, Funk, Jazz, Electronic and Pop.  "Trip Hop Rock" kind of says it.

With now five very recent singles out, (started releasing only in Sept 2021) the band have had an amazing start to 2022 after being played numerous times on BBC introducing and getting play listed by the iconic KCRW in LA. 

The single "Naked White Noise" has been chosen to be on the new VR game "Billy Talent's Notebook" due out in early 2022.
“Cokehead” has been short listed for a major Hollywood movie, a Netflix Series and an American TV drama.
“Naked White Noise” has also been shortlisted for a major Hollywood Movie.
"Human Diamond" is to be included in a global podcast called Women of Substance" (with over 10 000 live listeners) at the end of the year.


We have an "Exclusive" feature on https://starrymag.com in America, and feature in Jammerzine in New York, and done a few radio interviews (STL Hits also in America). We have also done numerous interviews on British radio stations and are currently followed, played daily by at least 40 independent radio stations as well as achieving airplay on BBC introducing and KCRW national in America.

Exciting things:

Our single "Cokehead" has bwen shortlisted for both a major Hollywood Movie and a New Netflix Series coming out later in the year. Our single "Human diamond has been also shortlisted for the same Hollywood movie. Our single "Naked White Noise" will appear on the new "Billy Talent Playbook" VR game (as well again as Human diamond on a later update to the game they have told us). We have been asked to play on our first major Festival in 2023 (DIVA FEST) in Cheshire.

Since mixing from the age of 15 Djaided began her career playing out in clubs from just the age of 18... 13 years on Djaided can boast 16 years experience  playing in UK cities and towns up and down the country such as London, Manchester and Liverpool.... Reading, Northampton, Peterborough, Preston, Blackpool and more... Ibiza has been one of this DJs biggest highlights, DJing in pre party bars in San Antonio and getting to spin in the infamous Es Paradis in 2009!

FMA + 12 Gage are a multi-award-winning father and son rap duo from Preston. Made up of Matthew and Callum Bennett, the project initially began in 2013 as a way of helping Callum’s confidence but snowballed into something that neither of them could have predicted. Their music is built around creative lyrics and tightly woven, imaginative dual vocals. Combining the aggression of metal and the verbal skills of hip-hop with the energy of youth and the experience of age, they create hybrid songs that are a fusion of high energy rap, electronic, metal and dance music.

They have performed all over the country, written for award-winning TV shows and films, and have also featured on TV Asahi in Japan and other worldwide streaming services. In 2019 they were chosen to be the face of the Give us a break anti bullying campaign and their charity song Spectrum gained nationwide coverage. A common phrase heard at any of their performances is, ‘I don’t normally like rap, but I liked that!’ Energy, skill and passion transcends genres. 

The pair face many mental health difficulties that stem from Autism and Dyslexia and they use their creations as a way of expression and to combat the issues that they both deal with in their day to day lives. They have given talks on the benefits of creativity on mental health and have been invited to speak in schools, prisons and at health conferences about their struggles. Helping others is an important part of what they do.

FMA + 12 Gage are a glimpse of reality in a world of insanity. They don’t write about money, drugs or women, they write about the darkness inside their minds.
