The seven remixes amplify this ethos, recruiting a who’s-who of Indie Dance and Nu Disco innovators – K-Effect (SXDNS062), Shubostar (SXDNS042), Dionigi, Tegel Boys, Rigopolar, Julian Sanza, and Rich Lane – to refract Planet Ogo through diverse stylistic prisms. From neon-soaked Funk to analog grit, their collective reimaginations stretch the source material’s gravitational reach.

While each remixer injects distinct flair, K-Effect’s contribution emerges as a haunting standout. The seasoned Spanish artist cloaks the title track in psychedelic unease, replacing euphoric Trance crescendos with eerie, slow-burning dread. Razor-sharp drum programming slices through murky synth layers and disintegrating FX, while tectonic bass swells drag the groove into shadowy depths. It’s a deliberate departure – eschewing the original’s starry-eyed ascent for a descent into hypnotic darkness. K-Effect’s brooding revision contrasts sharply with the remix pack’s vibrant diversity, epitomizing the package’s bold experimental scope and cementing the theme’s versatility across dance music’s multifaceted universe.

Sinchi Music returns with the twelfth volume of its influential Altered States series, featuring artists from all over the world.

All sales from this not-for-profit release will be donated to the Sinchi Foundation to support Indigenous forest guardians in the Brazilian Amazon.

We open with Tassilo Vanhöfen, a visionary musician whose work reflects a profound appreciation for both the organic and synthetic, creating a dynamic interplay that captivates audiences and evokes a sense of introspection. Flow My Tears, an ethereal dance cut inspired by a deep dive into ’90s and 2000s Russian techno, blends nostalgia with emotional depth. Drawing from the genre’s signature vocal-driven, euphoric sound, he channels its distinctive charm, while crafting something uniquely his own.

Next up is Switzerland-based John Parsley, an MPC enthusiast who churns out a track that defies genres, a manifestation of his musical will in its essence. With recurring releases on labels such as Ombra International, Feines Tier to name a few, he proves over and over again that his music speaks for itself. ‘Brain Structure’, In his own words, the drums were entirely programmed on a modified Alesis HR-16B, a raw, punchy, and full of character. Built upon this foundation, the track unfolds into a soundscape which balances structure and chaos (like in his brain).

Nantes-based Dan ChiCharron oscillates between dark disco and psychedelic indie dance. As a resident for two years at Solemne Centro and Azul Rosa in Guatemala, he developed a unique sound influenced by Zillas on Acid and Tolouse Low Trax. A spontaneous night out in Nantes unexpectedly sparked the creation of ‘Random Jackpot’. That raw, hypnotic vibe followed him back into the studio, where it quickly took shape in this minimalist electro beat that carries the energy of a post-punk rebel on acid.

Bruce Wine is a Mexican producer and DJ who has more than eight years of experience in moving the needle in the local scene. With ‘Psycho Disco’, Bruce Wine dives headfirst into the shadows of sound, exploring the duality between dancefloor energy and emotional intensity. It’s a track built on contrasts, where pulsating beats meet cinematic textures.. An immersive experience that blurs the lines between the rational and the emotional, each beat unfolds like a scene in a film, guiding the listener through a parallel universe.

Next up, we welcome Ninasonik, the founder of Vaarian Records. Being immersed in the Mexican scene for the past 10 years has allowed her to share the stage with The Blessed Madonna, Answer Code Request, Volvox, Cabizbajo, and Theus Mago, to name a few. Her creative gift to Sinchi comes in the form of ‘FURIA’. It flows with hypnotic intensity, channeling the kind of night that feels endless. For Ninasonik, the intention is crystal clear: to sonically translate the almost mystical moment, when the self dissolves into the collective pulse of the dancefloor.

Finishing this series is a track that made us fall in love at first listen. Astrochimp, from Cyprus, crafts tracks that mirror life's unpredictable rhythms, purely guided by curiosity and an instinct for the unexpected. ‘Alien Contact’ is a Detroit-inspired electro, reimagined through a futuristic lens. It’s a bold and immersive take on a timeless sound, merging the mechanical soul of Detroit with an exploratory, forward-thinking edge.

Berlin-based producer Kalipo returns to Iptamenos Discos with his new single “Any Compromises".

When Jakob Häglsperger isn’t on tour with his legendary electro-punk band Frittenbude or working on Dina Summer, his collaborative project with Local Suicide, he’s focused on his solo alias Kalipo. With this release, he picks up where he left off on his last EP, WUT.

Forever exploring the intersection of electronic and indie music, Kalipo crafts a driving disco-punk sound, powered by straightforward, pounding beats—firmly rooted in krautrock and techno. A melodic interplay of reverberating guitars and synthesizers unfolds above—a reduced, edgy texture with a punk-inspired harmonic sensibility.

At the heart of “Any Compromises” are Kalipo’s own vocals. With a warm, laid-back delivery, he reflects on letting go of old patterns in pursuit of happiness—even if it means leaving the familiar behind and holding out hope for a miracle.

An internationally recognized producer from Bavaria, Kalipo has released music on respected labels such as Audiolith, Get Physical, Ki Records, Stil vor Talent, Heimlich, and 3000 Grad. Over the past decade, he’s amassed more than 20 million streams and performed at clubs and festivals around the globe. His unmistakable sound draws influence from the 2000s clash of indie and techno—a style now resurging under the banner of indie sleaze.

In addition to the original version, the release includes a club version that adds groove and rhythmic intricacy to Kalipo’s characteristically stoic and driving beat. The result remains powerful and dark—tailor-made for losing yourself on the dance floor deep into the night.

Again and again Florian Herzberg – the mastermind behind My Secret Playground – is drawn to his hometown Vienna. A city full of old glory and vanity, a spirit of optimism and standstill in the same way. On his releases the now Berlin-based producer combines these peculiarities in Electro and modern sounding 80s tracks. Rolling aggressive beats are replaced by broad synths and strings. Pounding kick drums paired with nostalgic vocal lines and vocoders make the leap into the 21st century and give My Secret Playgrounds an own contemporary Indie Dance sound.


Mystery Kid - Black Sheep (My Secret Playground Remix)

Legendary Italian Alexander Robotnick is a true musicaholic who, for over 40 years, has done it all from disco to techno. He helped define the Italo scene with a glittering run of evergreen club classics, and despite being in his 70s continues to be as creative and inquisitive as ever. The source of inspiration for this latest project came in August 2023 when the second lander and rover mission *Chandrayaan-3* successfully landed on the Moon and made India the first nation to successfully land a spacecraft in the lunar south pole region. It was a crucial turning point that marked the end of Western supremacy, and following in that spirit, Robotnick intends this to be a celebration of the beginning of a multipolar world where the precious variety of world cultures is not levelled by globalisation.

Though couched in familiar house and techno, these tunes come with a distinctive Indian touch, which is perceivable throughout. Hybrid Protokol kicks off with 'Diaspora', a funky techno workout with twisted and hypnotic synths steeped in Indian flavours. Pawas & Reji's 'Lemoncholy' is a deeper, more atmospheric and slow motion sound with woozy chord work, and Shrii's 'Sidelines' is a dramatic and cinematic cut with alien life forms busying about the tense grooves. ToneFabrik taps into the soulful and surging serenity of Detroit techno on 'Fringe' and Noni-Mouse's 'Beverly Hills' brings percussive broken beat loops before Rafiki's 'Playroom' explores more deft and innocent melodic sounds next to zippy synths.

Synths Back brings the hustle and bustle of Indian street life to 'Spice Coast' with its horns, whistles, loopy vocals and punchy filter house funk and elsewhere there is blissed out house from Pawas & Fast Slow on 'Lake House' then silky disco from Farhan Rehman, shimmering Indian sitar sounds from Sikander and Hedrun and a fine closer from 5volts that taps into deep, dubby science.
