After his debut on Kaputt.wav with his track 'Two Worlds', Mufti the Mexican dungeon master returns with his first solo EP 'Eyes Shuttered' for the Colombian imprint. 

With a transatic an hypnotic growl that developes and grows throughout, the single 'Eyes shuttered' sets the tone for a dance in the night or in the woods, through clever synthesis , mist, and the words, ''I summon, a creature in disguise , eyes shuttered in the middle of the dark'. Definitely one of Mufti's polished works.

For his second single, Mufti picks up his guitar and turns on the distortion to drive us to the different paths of 'Desires' in his characteristic musical style.

Eyes shuttered also have taken two different ways by being remixed for two incredible and over the top music producers.

'DC Salas', the Belgium & Peruvian master goes full on gotham style and release the chains of the dark creature in his take of the single.

On the other hand, 'Mishell' from Tel Aviv, turn up the bass and swing it like only he does in his minimalistic way.

Following the release of noir-disco inspired DENSE OCEAN single, synth-diva VELVET VELOUR returns with her EP of three hypnotic, bassy and minimalistic remixes from such producers as Facets,
Panthera and Amarcord. The remix EP is going to be released on 25th of October.

VELVET VELOUR is a solo project of UK-based synth diva Valeria Valuyskaya. She takes her inspiration from disco, electro and noir-synthpop carefully mixed with her ethereal vocals. She is the
founder of Jardin de Bliss label that is focused on melodic and synth-based music.

Pleasure Seeker is Derek from the Italian duo Derek & DJLo (SXDNS047). Envisioning to explore his most inner influences, he decided to fly solo and now brings to life his very first EP: A fine darkness-meets-groovy single, filled with Italo Disco references and remixed with love by Alberto Melloni, Astore, Monao80, Moran, and Mystery Kid (SXDNS398).

The single is coming soon as part of the celebrations of the second anniversary of his own Nubians Of Plutonia Records, a rising & shining Milan-based label devoted to expanding the universe of beloved genres such as Proto House, Italo Body Music, EBM, and Indie Dance.  

The mastermind behind the remix we selected to review/premiere needs no introduction amid the retro-infused side of the electronic music scene. With acclaimed appearances on Mélopée, Raibano, Bordello A Parigi, Paradiso, Ulla, and Italo Moderni, just to mention a few, Alberto Melloni had his name carved in stone and became one of the most prominent artists of his generation.

For his debut on Nubians, maestro Melloni made the original live up to its name and turned it into a true singularity by bringing the theme to outer space and soaking it with Cosmic Disco elements such as deep leads and psychedelic synth layers resulting in a zero-gravity experience for dance floors.

The St. Petersburg-based label Avacha debuts on our platform with “999% HITS”, a vital 8-track compilation that amasses an interesting selection of domestic and not so domestic artists devoted to presenting the dark side of the contemporary music made both in Russia and the surrounding territories: Panorama Channel, Volta Cab, Wolfstream, White Magik, Soft Metal, Bogdan, Radial Gaze, and Olta Karawane spared no efforts to provide a proper showcase of their production skills, bringing together high standard pieces to enhance the importance of the VA release.

The track we were kindly solicited to review brings Kirill Rem aka White Magik depicting how disco mating with (good quality) early trance elements sounds. “Darkness” is definitely one of the highlights of the compilation. The intense synth layer and the vocal hooks led us into a journey through White Magik’s world: “Esoteric metamodern dance music filled with love, stress, and release.”
