Tronik Youth December 2022

It has not been that long ago that Eileen started her career. But since the beginning, she has been considered one of the most promising talents in Frankfurt. With gigs at some of the coolest spots in town, such as Shuka Bar, Ima Rooftop, AMP, Silbergold, and Listener, her sonority develops itself through a broad amount of House Music encompassing as many sub-genres as possible and is mainly influenced by the likes of Francesco Del Garda, DMX Krew, and Le Loup, just to name a few. 

Despite being relatively new in the scene, she has already started throwing her own club night: Amore Collab has the goal of trying to bring a bit of musical variation to Frankfurt. 

"My motivation is to build a space for everyone who just wants to have a great time, fun, and dance. Always looking forward to playing the next time and curious about what will happen in the future", she said.

Astroloop is a musical project created by Gabriele Lori, who has a long standing passion for different nuances of electronic music. 

It started in 2017 following on from different projects with the first vinyl release “Svegsy EP” on Freerange Records. In 2020 he jumped into Modular Project’s Nothing Is Real imprint with “Right Before EP”, soon followed by his second appearance on Niv Ast & Eliezer’s New Day Every Day label, this time with a brilliant release called 'Shooting Star' and more recently also on Curses’s Ombra International”

He already spun records with "Dombrance", his partner in crime at one of our Feinstoff nights at Kater Blau. Now he delivers a Feincast in the light of his latest remix of Theodora's "Twist In My Sobriety".

Theodora heard the original 'Twist In My Sobriety' on a cassette compiled by her aunts favourite songs from her teenage years. It struck a chord with her, so she now revisits the melancholic hit with gusto, taking the delicate melody into danceable territory as she whispers the lyrics over a newly relentless beat. The tune has been mixed by Etienne Caylou and intertwines dance, new wave and techno in a style that is Theodora's own. Her voice is the centrepiece, arousing emotion and a furious desire to move. The tune comes with a video by SuperFeat, a visual collaborator on all of Theodora's latest releases.

Giving Theodora's tune an even more club-like feel, British producer and musician David Shaw and the Beat adds his remix. It is a pulsating dark disco cut with chugging drums and snappy hits. The arpeggiated synth keeps you locked while more dazzling cosmic chords bring colour next to Theodora's intimate and alluring vocal.

The artist known as ‘Fernando’ once washed up on the shores of Uruguay after a freak boating accident off the coast of Carilo, Buenos Aires in 2008. An incident that occurred while on a submarine studio mission conducting sonic experiments aboard a renovated and highly customised Uboat circa 1945. Free from constraints & operating outside territorial waters, Fernando was putting the finishing touches to a new collection of music, setting out to bottle those sweet and indescribable moments in suspended time and space when we feel weightless and surrounded by sounds richer than reality…. an inexact science, yet a universal privilege that life and ears afford us. Presumed dead, what in fact happened was a serendipitous encounter between the lucky survivor and a roaming associate of International Feel, who, during a walk along the sands of Punta Del Diablo, found an airtight USB stick clutched inside the hand of a partial amnesiac, dazed and shivering but with a sly smile stretched across his sun and sea worn face. It seems that whatever Fernando was looking for, he had found and thanks to the saviour of that day and (much further down the line) Fernando’s blessing, it sees the light of day on October
13th, 2014 in all good record stores.

John Talabot and Axel Boman teamed up in 2017 for their R&S debut ’The Night Land’ where they got to flex their creative muscles over eight tracks of rich synth jams.  

The two electronic artists have been independently successful in their respective careers, but as Pitchfork expressed in their glowing review “Their collective output doesn’t sound much like either’s work; it doesn’t even necessarily reflect the thin, convex sliver where their interests overlap. Instead, they’ve hit upon something new.”

This new sound also proved to be a hit with the likes of Mojo, Phonica, XLR8R, Self Titled and DJ Mag all including it their annual best of lists.

The artists have now handpicked four artists to create their own vision of the Talaboman sound.  
Superpitcher, Samo DJ, Luke Slater under his L.B. Dub Corp alias and Powder have all seriously delivered the goods.

Born and raised in Manchester, David Shaw is today based in France. His cultural duality has had a profound influence on his music, and allowed him to create an original identity somewhere between techno and indie, he, who never wanted to choose between guitars and machines. 
As producer, writer/composer and performer, he has distinguished himself on the independent scene through various projects such as his own : Siskid (Initial Cuts, Meant Records), Animal Machine (Meant Records) and collaborations : Blackstrobe with Arnaud Rebotini and Ivan Smagghe (Beggars Banquet). 
Today he's back with a new single, « Infected », the first extract of his album to be released on Her Majesty's Ship. This song is a cover of The The, released in 1986. David Shaw gives it a brand new interpretation, but without losing its catchy eighties pop mood. 
The remixes are delivered by two great acts in electronic music : JD Twitch from Optimo fame and offer a brilliant old school flavoured version. 
The other from Max Pask, half of Populette, offers a sweaty epic 12 - minute long version, ideal at sunrise after a long night of dancing.
