MTT Digital Releases

Just a few months after the release of MTT005 with Desert Island Disco, @mistert-records are pleased to announce their first compilation welcoming recognized and emerging artists from 5 different countries, united by their love of electronic music. The compilation is split in two sides : Musica Per Ballare - the first Volume - built around the love of Italo influences and Musica Para Bailar - the 2nd Volume - made with balearic aesthetics.

On the Balearic side of the compilation, MTT teamed up with solid members of their network as Pleasure Voyage, Romain FX and Desert Island Disco already strongly contributed to the work of the label.
The 2nd volume starts with “Mediterranean Feeling”, a complete dream house track conjuring up all the beauty of the style : clear keys, rhythm and a heady brass line. @pleasurevoyage really demostrates on this production their level of understanding of the essence of the Balearic vibe.

Brynjolfur's 'Sintético' promises a joyful revival of summer dancefloors. Inspired by the music of Southern Europe in the late 80s and early 90s, the EP draws on a range of genres from italo to dream house to the nascent forms of progressive and trance. The four-track EP, radiates a warm, sun-drenched vibe, is out May 12th.

Celebrating the great feedback received after their first compilation, Mister T. records gives its Musica Para Bailar / Per Ballare an unofficial new episode with MTT007. The 3 tracks selected in Musik Zum Tanzen are yet a bit more than just a development as they focus on a more modern facet of what we could call rave-influenced italo-house.

The compilation starts with Jakob Mäder’s new track, Morning Sun. The Stuttgart-based artist produced a clear and super emotional house anthem. The tune evolves nicely, following its touching synths and high energy bass. Its name says it all, probably one of the nicest tracks to play at early morning when the sun rises on the dancefloor. The second track is a more complex mix of italo basslines and rave pads & breaks, winking at the great work of influential artists as Skatebard. While we are still waiting for the summer, with “July Nights North of Bergen” Enzio Etchaberri sends us back to an ocean of memories made of endless nights spent dancing till we fall asleep. The EP closes with ValAir, Mister T. records label owner,’s first track on the label. Choir Offense is an interesting mix, focusing first on powerful and organic drums, leading us through the tune. While it could have been just another tool, the track reveals another dimension with its rave stabs giving it a deeper touch in direct line with the two other productions of the EP.

Musik Zum Tanzen really appears as a tribute to high energy italo-house and warehouse / rave aesthetics of dancers being in communion all night under the starlight and the bliss of early sunrises.

All the 3 tracks are a deep dive into 80s-inspired sounds, intricate percussion, and a seamless fusion of electronic elements perfected by COHN's unique touch.
Wine and Reason opens with La Salita, probably the most DJ-friendly tracks of the EP with its heavy load of groovy percussion. The M1 synths and percussion-heavy composition harken back to the '80s era, while a darker bassline adds a clubby and almost Italo House atmosphere. This newbeat-ish bass really makes the identity of the track which serves as an invigorating introduction to the rest of the EP..

And we continue with part 4 of AEON’s 10 years celebration with more of our beloved friends and artists, whose music has brought smiles, tears, and a surge of energy to music enthusiasts worldwide! To mark this special anniversary, we have invited artists who have played a pivotal role in shaping our label’s journey over the past decade to contribute to our commemorative release, ‘AEON X’. This remarkable compilation will be unveiled in five parts, starting on August 4th. Chromium Dioxide brought Leitstrahl’s sound to world. The three man group of Stoff, Paul Raal and Boogaloo Steve return alongside Alberto Melloni with Azimuth. Bordello A Parigi’s own Furór Exotica are drafted in to help with the Dee D. Jackson inspired “Automaton Lover.” Disco infused and bombastic, this powerful piece employs bold synthlines and breathy vocals to devastating effect. The title work follows. An addictive melody is cut by a crisp beat in this bright and inviting instrumental. Thick basslines and a mirrorball groove introduce Spectral Fantasy. Featuring the smoky lyrics of Vongold, a tale of unexpected encounters and possibilities unfurl amidst warbling analogue strings. Slung back basslines and a low throb are central in “Light Years”, a smooth longue affair to finish this diverse 12”.

PREMIERE: COHN - For Reasons [Mister T]

Beyond The Struttosphere is a sonic collaboration between two London-based DJs combining their considerable musical production experience with an insatiable passion for cosmic chugging dark disco.

The cosmonauts embark on their most ambitious journey yet with the release of ‘Odyssey-10’ on Emerald & Doreen records. True to its name, the lead track evokes an epic space voyage propelled by driving arpeggiators, chunky layered percussion, high-octane guitar hits and the signature BTS chug bassline.

The tune progresses into a tectonic breakdown heightened by
spacey Juno chords before launching into a dynamite crescendo that burns contrails through the atmosphere.

Remixes are provided by two bastions of the scene: Mexican dark wave star
Vongold introduces lustful celestial vocals into the mix, dialling down the tempo, and repurposing the track into a post-punk acid chugger that takes no prisoners. French dark disco connoisseur Badknife applies his masterful touch with a second remix, cranking up the throb and deploying interstellar synth arrangements that will have you reaching for your seatbelt.

The duo venture into uncharted territory with ‘Satellite Cities’, a collaboration with cosmic queen Miss Zagato. Undoubtedly their funkiest production to date, this galactic chugger is a hypnotic blend of funky guitar plucks, electrifying stabs and groovy riffs, underpinned by Miss Zagato’s intoxicating lyrics that transport you to the moon in a hypersonic X-15. Building in momentum and complexity, the track climaxes with a mesmerising vocal chorus, elevated by cosmic synth melodies and a resonating mid-range bass that will echo for aeons to come.

The original is backed by a sublime remix from Spanish electronic virtuoso, Ivan Fabra, whose take re-imagines the track as a pulsating Balearic dancefloor anthem loaded with powerful drums and ethereal pads that melt into the sunset.

The EP concludes with ‘Storming Heaven’, a sonically charged acid trip that adventures through the cosmos, guided by a weighty chugging bass, a psychedelic 303 line, tripped out guitar chords and an array of cosmic FX. The tune traverses two mystical breakdowns before ascending into stratospheric planes with a euphoric synth sequence and a staggering guitar solo courtesy of long-time BTS collaborator Stannard Procedure. Strap in!
