PREMIERE: Ulises Arrieta - Constructions [Belly Dance Services]

Trampoliner are proud to present the french power duo Kimshies. Peo Watson and Bijou Williams have known each other for more than 20 years now. In 2004, they produced "Chicago 72" together, releasing it on vinyl only. 500 copies went through different record stores and were being passed around until May 2018 when the public discovered it during Solomun's ‘Cercle' session in the magnificent Théâtre Antique d'Orange. The exposure & irony of the history pushed Peo & Bijou to return to the studio once more, and by the looks of it, they are here to stay. Having already had releases on renowned labels such as Nein, Aeon and Duro to name a few.

On TRAMPA009 they pick up where they last left off, with two proper Kimshies-style tracks to please any dancefloor. Teaming up with their countrymen and respected duo You Man for the title- and first track, turning it into a proper dancefloor blockbuster. The second track is no exception, letting their unique grunge-vibe shine through once again, leaving the listener longing for more. To complete this release we have no other than Vilnius finest Roe Deers and Mexican sensation Mufti on remix duties.

INCOMING : Plexi Glass - Krystal Runner (Original Mix) #Mélopée

Prepare to be transported into a realm of sonic enchantment with the forthcoming release from Berlin's renowned Iptamenos Discos. Boys’ Shorts, the dynamic queer duo hailing from Greece, comprised of Vangelis (formerly of LAGASTA) and London based Tareq, are set to unveil their EP 'Something To Forget' accompanied by captivating remixes from Gabe Gurnsey and Whitesquare.

Following their successful ‘New Era’ EP which was on high rotation on Berlin’s RBB Radioeins, and lending their remix skills to Local Suicide on their Eros Anikate album, Boys’ Shorts are yet again back on Iptamenos Discos with ‘Something to Forget’. The duo consists of Vangelis and
Tareq who have been friends for over a decade and have had an incredibly successful year, with a string of highly praised releases on Permanent Vacation, Live At Robert Johnson, HE.SHE.THEY & Pets Recordings, and DJ sets in esteemed venues including London’s E1 and Berlin’s Berghain as well as remixing Alison Goldfrapp and supporting her on tour.

‘Something To Forget’, the first single and title track starts with a strong kick and a prominent snare which punches through the mix and becomes a driving force which anchors the track. The bouncy and energetic bassline is contrasted with lyrics which are somewhat melancholic, however they are performed in a way that gives them an underlying sense of optimism.

The extremely talented producer Gabe Gurnsey, a regular on Phantasy Sound and member of Factory Floor, puts forward a dancefloor focused remix of ‘Something To Forget’, which ups the tempo and shifts the focus to the bassline, teasing snippets of the vocals initially and only letting them play out in full for a moment after the break.

‘Flying Away’ features washed out synths packed with reverb and dreamy emotion filled vocals that float around your head, and toe the line between happy and sad, never quite landing on either and leaving it up to the listener for interpretation.

Roman DJ and producer, Whitesquare is on remix duties for ‘Flying Away’ and throws away all questions of what tone the track will follow with the introduction of a euphoric and nostalgic piano melody in the breakdown, that will bring a smile to everyone’s face and a wave of positive energy over any dancefloor.

Something To Forget’ is sure to be a revered release by Boys’ Shorts and another exciting addition to the Iptamenos Discos catalogue. The full EP including both remixes will be released on all digital/streaming platforms and 12” vinyl on June 14th, 2024.

After a short hiatus, Lametta is back and continues to make scary, sharp sounds that go straight into your spinal cord. This time, Kalson, an Electro mogul who released for Dominance Electricity, Crobot Muzik, E75, and is the proud co-owner of Stellar Mode, is joining Caligari on this horror-inspired journey.

This two-track EP is carrying the name of Mrs. Regine Dandridge from the movie Fright Night Part 2. Borrowing household horror names is slowly becoming a tradition as we continue with the release schedule here on Lametta Records. 

In just over 5 minutes, Caligari's original piece is a 4x4 suspense-filled nightmare. It uniquely blends retro elements and modern dance sound, creating a distinct and captivating auditory experience.

Kalson's remix takes a more modern approach, but fear not: it starkly contrasts Caligari's retro influence. Kalson's remix is a journey into a distant, sinister future, sounding like Regina made it to the year 2077.

Speaking of Kalson (Vladan Cvetkovic), he is not just a name on the EP, but the mastermind behind this release's sound signature, becoming Lametta's resident audiophile. His contribution makes you, the listener, and your ears an integral part of this musical journey. 

This release represents a fresh re-start for the label, with more horror-inspired gems to come in the future. We're excited about the possibilities and hope you are, too. Hopefully, we won't be all vampire cyborgs by then.
