Nothing Is Real Records (@nothingisrealrecords) celebrates spring with another great Mexican producer, Alfredo Cardenàs aka Montessori (@montessorimusicmx), already recognized for his Rhythmic enveloping and energetic style of productions. The quality of his music caught the attention of many producers, djs and dancers in the game. The Montessori EP is formed by 4 dancefloor oriented tracks.

The main track ‘Glue In The Sand’ is a perfect example of modern indie dance, with the fresh addiction of trippy synths and fx, the tailored vocal of Vongold (@nvongold) captures the attention of the listeners giving a lovely shape. Instead ‘Digital Mind’ is an obscure dark piece of dance music with a special tech flavor, perfect for the need of pushing more when the crowd is ready.

You can immediately hear the desire of experimenting different roads on the arrangement from the German duo Peter Invasion (@peter-invasion) and Gregor Habicht (@gregor-habicht) on their remix of Glue In The Sand: the work on electro elements and the sliced pieces of vocals are simply unique, a solid inprint from the producers.

Astroloop is on board remixing Glue In The Sand with a simple but effective bassline, gated synths and acid moments trying to maintain the moving of the track with the change of elements.

Berlin based power duo Local Suicide announce their long-awaited debut album ‘Eros Anikate’ released on their label Iptamenos Discos on May 13th, 2022. The title translates to ‘love invincible’ and draws influence from Sophocles’ play, ‘Antigone’ - an ancient Greek play based around tragedy in the aftermath of a civil war. ‘Eros Anikate’ will showcase the duo's renowned ‘technodisco’ sound, blending retro with modern elements, alongside moody baselines and haunting vocals, whilst featuring an array of exciting collaborators and friends including Curses, Hard Ton, Skelesys, Lee Stevens, The Hidden Cameras, Sissi Rada, Theus Mago, Kalipo, and Greek new wave legend Lena Platonos. 

 ‘Moustache’ , the third single taken from the album is a collaboration of Local Suicide with their longtime collaborator and friend, Buenos Aires native Skelesys. Sharing a love for the darker sounds you’d find in horror films and computer simulations, the 4/4 kick drum and woodwind like sounds manipulated into a frenzy bring us a rather interesting juxtaposition of playful horror.  

“This one started off as a hymn to Dali, but ended up being a love letter to a dude with a ‘stache”.  

While the track crescendos into an ominous buildup of synths that continue to mesmerise you, the famous Vamparela vocals are the perfect surrealist playground that Dali himself would be proud of. Contrasting the playful with the serious, this track is the perfect oxymoron with post-punk and EBM madness, of which we’d expect nothing less from the two acts coming together.  

‘Eros Anikate’ will be released on Vinyl, CD and digitally on Iptamenos Discos on 13th May 2022.

After numerous releases in the past 12 months, Tel Aviv based Eliezer, joins us, along with friends of the label, Mufti, Skelseys and Ackerman to deliver 'Ritmica La Noar', three guitar laden sonic meditations backed up with remixes from French duo Kimshies, who pushes the tempo and stretches the fabrics weaving together a patchwork of fear and loathing, Modular Project who pulls the guitar and twisted harmonics from 'Don't Be', using them to create a widescreen technicolour opiate laden take and Tyu who rebuilds 'Halalit Ushma Tshuka' into a more tribal understated and up-tempo mutant dance rework.

Local Suicide announce their long awaited debut album ‘Eros Anikate' which will be released May 13th, 2022 via their own label Iptamenos Discos. The title translates to ‘love invincible’ and draws influence from a play written by Sophocles titled ‘Antigone’.

The album holds true to the duo's ‘technodisco’ sound that the couple has become so well known for and showcases their signature style of blending a retro feeling with a modern twist. In usual Local Suicide fashion, the duo’s debut album showcases tongue in cheek modern-day circumstances, mystical adventures, and moody baselines; all tied up with the promises of happy endings. You can instantly hear that this album comes from the duo’s hearts. Inspired by the travels and experiences they encountered throughout the pandemic, it’s also a love letter to the friends they met during their career - some of which are also featured on the album: Lee Stevens, Curses, The Hidden Cameras, Sissi Rada, Skelesys, Theus Mago, Hard Ton, Kalipo & Greek new wave legend Lena Platonos.

The producer couple has had a stunning amount of press coverage from leading electronic mags like RA, DJ Mag, Mixmag, FAZE, Groove, Ransom Note, TRAX, Time Out, Tsugi, XLR8R & Rolling Stone for their 13 EPs, numerous tracks on compilations and remixes since 2014 on acclaimed labels, while Beatport declared them as one of the key figures in the uprising dark disco scene. They also recently played themselves in Fett & Fett, a series broadcasted on German national TV station ZDF, in which their musical productions were featured extensively as well. Their DJ career has carried them to all four corners of the world, from Europe, Asia and North Africa to South America and the United States, whipping crowds into a frenzy at Lollapalooza, Melt!, ADE, Off Sonar, Festival Forte, Berlin Festival and many more. Somewhere between these two questions exists this seismic slab of dark post-disco drama from Leipzig duo @newhook: ‘Manipulation’. A track to make you consider the extents of how much you manipulate your environment and how much it manipulates you; ‘Manipulation’ first came to life in 2018. The same year Riotvan introduced the duo to the world on their ‘Familiar Faces’ VA collection. Four years, and various releases on the likes of Ombra and Live At Robert Johnson, later and the original version of ‘Manipulation’ has recently been released on Underground Pacific album ‘The Only Good Wave Is A New One’. But there’s more to story... Now redeveloped and reworked, ‘Manipulation’ has been manipulated into this epic club missile on Riotvan. Electrified and strident in its swagger, this new version maintains the duo’s sultry, provocative vocal but carries much more dancefloor weight. Every bit as sharp and to the point as the name

PREMIERE! New Hook - Manipulation (Curses Remix)

Dina Summer (@dinasummer), the Berlin-based collaboration between Kalipo (@kalipo-1) and DJ couple Local Suicide (@localsuicide), are back with ‘Revenge’, the second single taken from their upcoming debut album, ‘Rimini’. The track perfectly showcases the group’s retro disco influences and feels like a journey through time. It is a fun, groovy and melodic track with washed-out synth chords, bouncy bass lines, and staccato stabs that is perfect for any listening experience.
The project is fronted by Dina P, the Greek native who lends her vocals and thought-provoking lyricism to the act. She first started performing as a teenager on local radio stations, making waves as one of the first women DJs in Thessaloniki, before later moving to Berlin where she met her husband and DJ/Producer partner, Brax Moody, to form Local Suicide. Bavarian-born Kalipo is the third member of the group who started his music career as the producer and band member of the German electro-punk band Frittenbude. While the trio initially met at a rave at the Rock am Ring festival in 2013, they only began working on music together in 2019 and have since been refining their combined sound.

Their new 4-track ‘Revenge’ EP includes a radio edit and an extended album version with upbeat synth lines and warm summery grooves. The release also includes a darker, gritty saw edit with a driving saw bass and arpeggios and a stripped-back, pulsing dark disco edit with washed guitars and plucks. All the different interpretations of the track reflect the group’s varied influences ranging from 80’s disco, 90’s electro, new wave and downbeat.

Releasing via Audiolith (@audiolith) on the 6th of July, 2022, the ‘Revenge’ EP continues the nostalgic journey through retro disco sonics that is perfect for the vibrant summer season!

For their 18th vinyl release, Hard Fist welcomes Guadalajara-based producers Vongold and Fargo Devianti in the family, including an impressive remix by Jennifer Cardini and Damon Jee.

Dj, producers and performers, the Mexican duo releases collabs on Correspondant, Hard Fist, Rotten City, Her Majesty’s Ship and more. Vongold is all about low-tempo dark disco, anxious lyrics over bass lines and hundred vocal gems ; while Fargo Devianti is a magician mixing guitars, synthesizers, drums and voodoo percussion.

“Taste of Butter” is their first full EP together. Vongold's haunted vocals stress Fargo Devianti hypnotic percussion. Together they create a psychedelic journey into mind landscapes with eclectic influences like avant-garde rock, post-punk, krautrock and darkwave sprinkled by psych-folk eastern melodies and ritual percussions. This EP is probably the most rock and new-wave oriented ever released on Hard Fist.

To conclude, Jennifer Cardini and Damon Jee brought a powerful remix influenced by Detroit's electro and breakbeat roots. Once mixed with the trippy sounds of the original version, it opens a fresh new door into the field of “dancefloor killer” music.
