Zaatar seamlessly blends the organic tone of Middle Eastern drums with the coldness of EBM synths, creating an entrancing blend. Belaria has gained recognition as one of the finest Parisian purveyors of underground electronic music in recent years, and through this interpretation of Camion Bazar’s ‘Parallel Processing, ’ she displays exactly why. Reshaping the original with her own distinctive twist, she blurs lines between acid, electro, nu-disco, and more with squelchy 303 arpeggio lines, murky bass swells, thunderous drums, and crunchy, dynamic drums.
