Summer heat is here and with it the eighth installment of Duro’s international groove compilation "Muy Duro". For this volumen the Mexican record label dig music from Lithuania's Monk Ernie, a seductive collaboration between Time To Sleep & Local Suicide. The first manifestation from Israeli, Ido Morali. The debut of Moisees & ZEA in the VA series, and to close the compilation, a collaboration from TAU’s duo, Dominik Marz & Radial Gaze.
The opener is "Canned Shoes" by Monk Ernie, a fresh and vigorous cut with a rogue percussion section, a big funky bass line, a melting electric guitar, wacky arpeggio synthesizers and cooling pads. It’s followed by "I Unfollow", the collaboration between the Croatian Time To Sleep and Berlin based lovely duo, Local Suicide. Seductive melodies, tight drums and phantasmagoric voices lead you through the whole track. From Israel comes Ido Morali with "Mondo3000", a pushing bass kick blended with dozed vocoders and acid sound that sweeps the reality expansion into a hypnotic experience.
Next up is "Wasen" by Moisees and ZEA, a track inspired by DMT trips and Japanese fishing boats. A Strong and mind-blowing cut, oriental instruments, psychedelic synthesizers, and rumble drums drive you to the zurna's break. To close the compilation is "Error 707" by Dominik Marz & Radial Gaze, an epic cut manufactured with powerful drums and beautiful synthesizers, an electric shocks rain.

Beyond The Struttosphere return to Gouranga in full force, two years following the release of their lauded debut EP, New Frontier. The title track of Astral Riders imagines the two cosmonauts burning through the atmosphere to a soundtrack of chugging metallic guitar stabs, syncopated arpeggiators and celestial 808 hits, coupled with an extraterrestrial vocal sample from the 1969 cult biker film, Easy Rider. The track builds in momentum, before propelling into cloud nine with a fully tranced-out crescendo. Remix duties are provided by two maestros of the scene: Mexican dark wave legend Rigopolar applies his signature formula to the original, stripping it back to its core components, and bolstering it with cosmic synths, driving motorik percussion and a Donna Summer style bassline that ramps up the groove. Israeli house aficionado Juvë delivers a second remix that draws on elements of deep house and comes loaded with distorted FX, ethereal pads and reverberating low-end synths that culminate in a spectacular drop. 

The second offering, Canyon Grit, is as gnarly and raw as its name suggests: this is full throttle dancefloor banger, commanded by a dynamic resonant chug bassline, reinforced with cutting snares, driving hi-hats, reverbed guitar loops, and Hendrix-inspired psychedelic 303 sequences that will leave you gasping for air. The original is backed by a stellar remix from Tiempo De Maldad, another Mexican stalwart, whose take cruises through hyperspace in unfaltering abandon, with kinetic drum workouts and spacey synths that navigate the tune to its tripped-out conclusion. 

The final track, Set Lasers To Stun, comes laden with intoxicating solo guitar recorded live on a vintage Stratocaster, deployed with euphoric Rhodes piano, galactic laser zaps, twanging new wave guitar chords, and the BTS trademark chug bassline. The EP closes with a remix from Rebolledo, head honcho of Burning Man’s Mayan Warrior and one half of the legendary Pachanga Boys. His contribution remodels the track into a dark and hypnotic desert trip, with dusty FX and dreamlike melodic pads that will no doubt teleport dancefloors into the stratosphere.

Adnan Khadra has been making waves since his 2022 debut at London’s iconic Fabric. With following appearances at the club’s Room 1 and 2, sharing the bill with the likes of Âme, John Digweed, Eagles & Butterflies, Mano Le Tough, Kerala Dust, and many more, but also releasing a collaboration with Pattn on fabric Records. Now unveiling Solar Visions, Adnan’s talent shines through in every detail, and we couldn’t be happier to support his growing reputation and rising artistic journey.

Opening the EP, Capricious Society has all it takes to be a hit: emotion, groove, carefully crafted synth stabs, melodic synth-escapades and driving arpeggiators, as well as ethereal sounding vocoders. One track made for those special and emotional moments on the dancefloor.

Dodi Palese takes Capricious Society to festival territory, its ostinatos taking center stage to transform the original into a hypnotic and powerful anthem with a relentless rise of energy. While the original track feels like an emotional dream, the remix adds the power factor to it.

Photons brings another facet of Adnan’s Solar Visions, with heady synths, soaring choirs, as well as epic and emotionally charged chord progressions.

Psychedelic Pina Colada brings is in a more percussive dreamscape, showcasing Adnan’s knack for intricate and catchy melodic patterns, acid synths, and celestial pads—topped off with a mesmerising flute-like lead.

Previously featured on Feed The Void’s fundraising compilation to support the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Dreamweaver is a poignant closing statement about hope and resilience—serving as a positive reminder that music can inspire change, and hope for better days to come, and we believe through his music, Adnan is the perfect messenger for this purpose.
