Volta Cab transports us, once again, into his own-defined post-punk universe, bringing nostalgia from 80s synthwave and 90s beats in his own modern context.Throughout his new EP “Alphabet of Humanity”, Volta Cab creates raw emotions from the first track to the last. 

There is a before and an after when listening to the subtle arrangement and dynamics of each tune, as the atmosphere that embeds his music can only let our imagination flow.

The compilation starts with Jakob Mäder’s new track, Morning Sun. The Stuttgart-based artist produced a clear and super emotional house anthem. The tune evolves nicely, following its
touching synths and high energy bass. Its name says it all, probably one of the nicest tracks to play at early morning when the sun rises on the dancefloor. The second track is a more complex mix of italo basslines and rave pads & breaks, winking at the great work of influential artists as Skatebard. While we are still waiting for the summer, with “July Nights North of Bergen” Enzio Etchaberri sends us back to an ocean of memories made of endless nights spent dancing till we fall asleep. The EP closes with ValAir, Mister T. records label owner,’s first track on the label. Choir Offense is an interesting mix, focusing first on powerful and organic drums, leading us through the tune. While it could have been
just another tool, the track reveals another dimension with its rave stabs giving it a deeper touch in direct line with the two other productions of the EP.

Musik Zum Tanzen really appears as a tribute to high energy italo-house and warehouse / rave aesthetics of dancers being in communion all night under the starlight and the bliss of early sunrises.

"I have such vivid memories of the early 90s when everyone in our community couldn't stop talking about that incredible movement called "La Ruta del Bacalao" or simply "La Ruta." My brother was a regular on the Ruta, and I can still feel the excitement when he brought home those tapes after a wild "destroy" weekend. Those AC/TV, Spook Factory, and Spiral cassettes became my ultimate soundtrack back then, and they were probably my first taste of electronic music."

We *are* living in the future. In fact, this text could've been written by an AI text generator, and you would probably not notic it, if it wasn't for the odd typo.

This track was conceived out of need to fantasize a utopian vision of the future, as the current version of the here and now can be rather depressing and discouraging.

Davin Varda approached Middle Sky Boom, a fellow traveler, to collaborate on this track. He gladly accepted, and nailed the vocals in one sweet session.

This release includes two more versions of the song. The extended dubby version by Troles Yuri is a more minimalistic alternative to the song, subtracting elements and stretching stretching the pounding beat into a full club experience.

The Middle Sky Boom version is a remix of a remix, sending the track spinning around the earth in an abandoned spaceship full of chirping computers going in and out of sync.

As usual in most of his work, soFa here reflects musical contrasts and contradictions as our existence so often does. It’s about sadness and joy, ups and downs and the fine line which connects them to tell a story. Fake Yourself comes as a spontaneous output of an artist escaping a scene of which the constant superficiality is unavoidable. Mistakes and unusual production with a strong DIY flavor are a conscious choice to keep the spontaneity vibing.A pure and direct self, exploring a realm of sound with sharp curiosity, emotion and humour. Where simplicity and complexity marry.


soFa leaves all boundaries behind and lets many of his influences confluence to find his very own sound. One can feel it is a very personal exploration which shines in its authenticity. Unconsciously or not, traces of IDM, Disco, New Beat, Dub and Krautrock cross heavenly paths and get augmented with ironic vocals and his hypnotic signature basslines. Everything seems to make sense, to fill the chapters of an adventurous short novel. A man shaping and finding his authentic sound and take you to this journey of his very own "style-no-style".

All tunes were improvised, recorded and arranged within 10 days in a wooden cabin, isolated in the middle of nature in Alentejo/Portugal in spring 2022. This album was not meant to happen. No overdubs

Massimiliano Pagliara pays tribute to Manuel Göttsching in his first solo EP on his very own Funnuvojere Records, 'All the VCOs You Can Eat'. 

As a devoted fan of Göttsching's groundbreaking work, Pagliara draws inspiration from his musical hero, crafting a mesmerizing EP that encapsulates the spirit and innovation of Göttsching's influential sound. The release comprises three different interpretations of the same track, each imbued with exceptional artistry and technical knowledge. 

The ceaselessly rolling piano chords in A1 Modulator Mix and B1 Traveler Dub are clear reminders of Göttsching’s E2E4 famous hypnotic refrain. The slight tonal variations, the stretched-out acid line and the uplifting drums conspire to create a sense of transcendence and euphoria. The infectious drums have their own space in B2 The Lonely Drums. This mix has an irresistible groove that will make all dance floors bounce. 

The artwork by Pagliara’s dear friend, NYC-based artist Ben Ross Davis (https://www.benrossdavis.com), captures the essence of Pagliara’s music through a vibrant and emotive visual language, reminiscent of the pioneers of abstract expressionism.
