Sincopat proudly welcomes back home Rafael Cerato with a new powerful and outstanding EP, this time the french maestro is joining forces with Kinky Sound, TouchTalk and Aves Volare. 
The EP also includes a remix by the label Big Kahuna AFFKT to round out the perfect equation.

Propaganda Machine is the masterful beginning of this futuristic & cinematic tale, an intense sonic adventure with powerful basses and a superb vocal by Aves Volare as a hallmark. On the remix duties, AFFKT delivers a magnificent remix that perfectly captures the essence of the original but brings it into his own sonic universe.

We continue with another timeless piece of music called Attack, along Kinky Sound. An intense musical journey with clear influences to the 90s electronica but with an eye to the future in its forms.

And last but not least we have 9 0 9 , where Rafael Cerato joins forces with another talented team from Brazil called TouchTalk to deliver another bomb, pulsating percussive synths and effected vocals to close the EP magnificently.

Real disco fans will love the sample that found its way into the new disco/indie dance banger by DJ and producer Claus Casper. But that's not all there is to say about this track: Even after 30 years in the game, Claus Casper keeps crafting new versions from old songs or creating originals that won't just shake your mama's hips.

"Hip Shakin Mama" comes with a piano dub mix by everybody's all-time favourite Gerd Janson. You can imagine Janson letting loose on the piano when hearing this remix. This EP is fun, it's a hip shaker, and it's one you won't soon forget.

Gerd Janson is one of the most highly respected DJs in the world of house and techno. Quite often, “highly respected” goes hand-in-hand with “underrated”, but over the past few years, audiences around the world have also found out what insider types already knew: Janson is a DJ that reconfigures the classics you already knew in an unexpected way –and introduce you to new classics a few months (or years) before you’ll hear them played everywhere else.

PREMIERE: Claus Casper - Hip Shakin Mama (Gerd Janson Piano Dub Mix)

Headed up by French-Swiss veterans LuLúxpo - the now Barcelona based Paradise Children Records ready a fresh remix on the label to celebrate their 5th anniversary. This is a re-imagining of the label head's classic track Nostalgia by the masterful producer Damon Jee; a fine and fitting addition to a label continuing to broaden smiles across global dance-floors. 

Nostalgia was originally released back in 2018 and remains a clinic in dramatic synthesis. Here, the lauded legend Damon Jee expands on a vast back catalogue with his take - in doing so, he soundtracks a memorable dance-floor moment, ripe with hedonism and illuminated by flickering strobes.

An 80s soundtrack vibe is channeled and is propelled by a throbbing Italo baseline, percolating sequences and hallucinogenic spoken word samples. Progress chugs on towards a dramatic breakdown which spreads its jaws before snapping back in to rapturous effect.

‘Ghost of Arms’, the dark synth-pop jewel from @cursesforever & @terr_music is about to get the remix treatment thanks to an exciting line up!

Italian born, Florence-based @matisaxx is injecting a more than efficient trancy and bumping prog house energy into the original, while staying true to its emotional side. A glorious version tailored made for euphoric hands-in-the-air, get-lost-in-the-moment scenes in the clubs.

Paris-born composer, orchestrator and Musique Concretist @wladimirschall delivers a beautiful and fascinating stripped-down interpretation.
Built around an infectious hazy melody and ethereal guitar chords, in that melancholic setting, Terr's reflections on lost love resonates even deeper.

South Korean producer and dj @shubostar speeds up the pace a bit with her synth-driven, Italo inspired remix. Now draped in her signature cosmic sound, Terr vocals are more moving than ever, Curses soothing guitar action are floating all around, all of it invoking the bitter-sweet melancholy of a reflective night ride.

Everything leant on tonight going well; the whole course of her life as she'd frequently been explaining to anybody who'd listen. Years and years of preparation had gone into the event, and should it be a success, her reputation would skyrocket. If it failed, however, then it would all have been for nothing. But she couldn't let those intrusive thoughts take hold, from here forward positivity and optimism would be her only friends.

Release number 30 on Chloé's Lumière Noire imprint brings together Gomma and Eskimo producer Rodion and Coméme and Huntleys & Palmers alumni Alejandro Paz for Esta Noche, three tracks matching Latinx sounds and new wave influences. Both classicaly trained musicians, the pair struck up a friendship after meeting in Ciudad de México, bonding over a shared love of romantic music and harmony. This led to a partnership in the studio, where they crafted and arranged this collection of dark, hazy and dramatic rhythms, one of which gets the rework treatment on the flip from Slow Motion boss Fabrizio Mammarella.

Almighty St. Petersburg-based Dark Disco syndicate Oberwave releases its second compilation. If the first one featured Russian artists only, this time label boss Morze (SXDNS151) gathered also producers from other corners of the world: Collaborators from Spain, Belgium and Indonesia joined forces with the home team in order to deliver a powerful 10-track EP, focused on cold but danceable music filled with gothic and erotic vibes: Pullo remixed by Sunmantra (SXDNS181), Gegen Mann (SXDNS220), Namesis, Etane, Velax, WLDV, Hesperius Draco, Ogny, Штадт, and Morze himself brought together their personal skills and influences to give birth to another solid and vital compilation.

We were given “The Gaffer” by local producer Etane to review. His previous works can be found on other important Indie Dance/Dark Disco labels, such as Ombra International, Sulk Magic, Electrique Music, and Disque Discos. Besides helping with the curation of the syndicate, he also keeps himself busy playing in a synthpop band called Getsuga Tenshou (we checked on YouTube, it’s pretty cool). In his contribution to Oberwave Vol. 2, he combines darkness and groove, an interesting concoction of elements inspired by the musical aesthetics of the 80s – a trademark of his sonority. Shards of Depeche Mode, The Human League, Visage, and Bauhaus were noticed. A little bit of Gary Numan, perhaps. Independently of which influences he directly used, the outcome is definitely one of the highlights of the release.
