Drum computers, crispy basslines, tingeling pads, vocoders... sadness and beauty... These are the perfect words to talk about the music of Club Mayz.

The Belgian artist is an incredible creative boy : dj, producer, designer...

And for each of its projects, he draws all his inspiration from the 80s to create crazy and sensitive new things.

“Can’t Wait” is an electro hit with a strong bass rollin’ ARP. The 80s percussions, the leads & the vocoder give to the track a perfect Italo touch. It’s time to break the dancefloor !

“Gusto” is a beautiful ode to Italodisco and Life. The lead melody & the pads take the audience on a happy journey. Cosmic!

We are realy honoured to have the only one Mufti to remix this one. The wellknown Mexican artist bring to the original a darker touch, but always considering the Italo way.

Finally, we welcome our lovely Marcus Christiansen! The Swedish artist, supported by artist as Funk D Void, gives to “Can’t Wait” a perfect mixing between Cosmic Italo and Dark Italo ! Marcus proves once again that he has the sense of the dancefloor ! He will come soon on the owl label to reveal an amazing EP ! Stay Tuned !

PREMIERE : Club Mayz - Can't Wait (Mufti Remix)

It was the bond of bold friendship that brought these guys together - and of course a shared history of sub-genre juxtaposition and meshing. Both grew up on Punk, Rap, and of course the early days of Techno. »Still There« is their first EP together and thus of course their first for Live At Robert Johnson. It's a venture into the euphoric, psychedelic power of early Trance and Breaks mixed with the attitude and energy of EBM and Electro.

Starting with the moody slow beats of the title tune »Still There«, Y2C takes you on a journey to a faraway chill-out room in some dark yet warm and cozy cellar. Or is this place to be found in synth heaven? It could well be if you listen to those dreamy melodies. Melodies as beguiling as the song of the Sirens that seduced good old Ulysses.

Y2C pick up on that dreamy vibe but throw in that slight and subtle Trance-factor, taking up speed with »Romantic Squat«, dragging you into their very own romantic squat.

Next up is »Love Your Enemy« - oh yes, shouldn't we all? Icy claps with lots of reverb and a bass line draw you onto the dry ice flooded alluminum floor and there's no way back - especially when that strange break with that crazy sound makes you stop for a second and think, why did I stop dancing? Get back on the floor y'all!

The last track »Mairei« is indeed some kind of a lollapalooza ride, a very special ride. And no, it does not lull you to sleep because the beat created by Y2C here is a demanding one, a special which gets you going all over its eight and a half minutes. It's sheer bliss, you gotta believe it. --- need to change this part!

This is not a one-off novelty EP, it's a kinetic collaboration. Y2C is a force of nature, a force of RAVE/WAVE energy, with many more to come, a force to reckon with.

London based DJ and producer; MAN2.0 has graced the decks in Berlin, Edinburgh Manchester and Glasgow as well as rocking the closing Two Tribes party at London clubbing institution the Cause, playing on the same bill as Optimo, Kink and Ben Sims among others.
 
His recent Monsters EP got picked up by BBC Radio 1’s Paul Woolford, tore the roof off of Berghain the week before release and is a favourite in the Rekordboxes of DJs like Laurent Garnier, James Zabiela, Pedro Winter, Electrosexual, Justin Robertson and a host of other top guys in the business. His current EP Red Shift (on Paisley Dark) is also getting getting love from DJs all over the disco spectrum.
 
Mark (as he’s known to his friends), has also released on Nein, Wonder Stories, Hypnotic Connection amongst others and has remixed for numerous artists such as Zakmina, Ali X (of Azari & III fame) and DDM boss Black Light Smoke, he has also picked up plaudits over the years from artists like Rex the Dog, DJ Sundae and has had his music described as ‘Dark but ultimately redemptive’ by the late great Andrew Weatherall, after getting a play on his  Music’s not for Everyone show on NTS. 

This mix bounces us through his ever evolving record collection, where weird pop curveballs brush up against grimy EBM, unshazamable techno melts into rave classics from yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Roam alumni Silicodisco returns to Roam with Spanish compatriot Xácome with three original tracks to form the Estas Loco EP. All three tracks bring a strong psychedelic post-wave sound forward, starting with Rusty Grass - a low-slung gritty yet dreamy offering. The title track Estas Loco carries the stripped-down 80s synth themes found throughout the EP. Mind Panic fits perfectly taking the vibe further with its rolling bass and ethereal soundscapes. Rounding out the EP is an excellent remix from Chinaski.
