My debut album Strange Part of the Country earned ★★★★ from Q Magazine, a Blues Matters cover feature, and reached #3 on the U.S. Alternative Radio Chart, with airplay on BBC Radio 2, WWOZ New Orleans, and KROQ Los Angeles. Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac), Marc Ribot, and Danny Thompson have all been part of the journey.

I’m now finishing a new album with Marc Ribot, Tchad Blake, and Danny Thompson — music that digs deep, raw and real.

Born in Tokyo.
 In the late 70's, right in the punk-post punk movement at that time, Shiraishi started his music activity. In 1980, when he was in High School, he released his very first album from the legendary label, "Vanity Records". In the late 80's, by the encounter of detroit techno, he shifted his music style to dance music. 

In 1995,he released a single from Apollo, a label under R&S,a prestigious techno label in Belgium. In 1997, he released an album called "PHOTON" from SYZYGY,;the label represents the dawn of techno scene in Japan. 

Publishing these albums "MUSICA NOVA"(1997),"REACH FOR THE SUN"(1999) from NS-COM, he was playing in the extensive genres which included techno/breakbeats/house/ambient and crossing. 

Also from 2000 t o 2001,Shiraishi provided his work for Tokyo's representable labels like NS-COM, SHIBURAI, SOUND CHANNEL, PLAY, he earned higher support from foreign artists and the media and a great respect from the domestic underground scenes. 

In 2002, based on 4/4 beats in slow tempos, he developed a unique perspective in the album"SLOW SHOUTIN'" which crosses emotions and coolness. Also in 2004, he released an album focused on hiphop/breakbeats from LibyusMusic in the name of "S as in soul. " 

As a club DJ, he has played with varioius artists like JEFF MILLS, ALEX PATTERSON(The Orb), AS ONE, MICHAEL MAYER (KOMPAKT), POLE, HOLGER CZUKAY........
His play freely mixes Break beats,dub, house, techno , and is highly regarded because of the style that swirls up like a deep and dramatic spiral. He has played in various occasions ,from big shows such as FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL to rather small parties.

Focus Puller’s relationship with music started  aged 6, when he was given a Dansette record player and a pile of old 7's by his Dad's mate. Stacking those records on the player and announcing them to an imaginary radio audience as they dropped one by one onto the platter had a mesmerising effect. Those early days unlocked a lifelong love affair with music, and paved the way to developing a style that is diverse but fluid. His 2005 mix 'Masical Mugic' brought together hip hop, drum and bass, breaks, techno and house as a seamless whole, claiming second place in the IDJ magazine mix competition and the reward of playing at Turnmills. Most recently, through his long association with the respected Cubism label, Mike has played at Fabric numerous times, which remains his favourite club to this day. 

His own compositions have found their way into the record boxes of some of the world's most admired artists including Dave Clarke, Laurent Garnier, John Digweed and Ben Watt, while 'Pressure Cooker', his 2007 Collaboration with Dave Robertson (Reset Robot), featured in Nic Fanciulli's Radio 1 Essential Mix. Described by DJ Mag as an original and daring artist, Mike continues to release innovative, intriguing music that aims to nourish the soul as well as the feet.
