Lagartijeando is the name of producer, musician and DJ Mati Zundel. Born, raised and currently living in a small town on the outskirts of Buenos Aires called Dolores. Strongly influenced by his travels through Latin America, Mati’s signature psychedelic dance tracks latch onto everything from traditional folk sounds from the Bolivian altiplano to the jungle beats of Brazil.

Mati hypnotically fuses his traditional influences (with an emphasis on shaman chant and charango loops) with contemporary electronic beats, creating a sound that once left NPR speechless.

Freshly into 2017, Mati brings us El Gran Poder via Wonderwheel— named after an important Aymara festival that takes place in Bolivia and Peru, purely to celebrate family. At these festivals, the community also celebrates their culture and the importance of the collective identity. The album was recorded in Mati’s town, Dolores, outside of Buenos Aires. Once again taking a huge variety of sounds— this time influenced by Brazilian house, afro-brazilian rhythms, and folkloric Andean music.

Shika Shika Collective is proud to present “De aquí hasta aquí”, the debut album by percussionist and producer Federico Estévez.

You may know Fede as the drummer and percussionist for Chancha Vía Circuito´s live band, having made a reputation around the world for his rhythmic virtuosity and trademark broken beats.

Following “Hologramas” the captivating opening track on Shika Shika’s “Mare Insularum” compilation, “De aquí hasta aquí” is Fede’s first full-length release. On it he shares with us his complex, poly-rhythmic universe through nine tracks uniting his own South American origins, with African rhythms and featuring collaborations with Rodrigo Gallardo, Pablo Paz, Wen, Manu Quintans, Klik & Frik and Chancha vía Circuito.

“Federico Estévez is one of Buenos Aires' most versatile musicians - at once an incredible producer and formidable percussionist. Federico Estevez - El Gauchito feat. Rodrigo Gallardo

The Peronists is a DJ & Producer from the province of Tucumán, in the Argentine Northwest, with a long career in the Tropical Electronics scene and fusion of electronic music with folklore and native instrumentation. He has released various EP & albums in the last fifteen years, under his alias The Peronists, but also as Fede Randall, Federico Sánchez and Dj Galgo Lazer.

His new EP "Migración Inka" (Folcore Records, 2020) proposes a journey between Andean Music and powerful electronic beats that starts from calm, with an inca-ambient song with charangos and a long delay "Shasta" (in allusion to the magical American mountain). “El Recurso” delves further into the indigenous sound of the album, with epic melodies of wind, to make way for the upper part of the album with “Selvático” an urban, danceable and poetic Amazonian cumbia while having the voice by Morita Vargas. The journey ends in a calm and climactic place, with the track "Lo-fi Hip Hop" entitled "Timing".

The Peronists es DJ & Productor originario de la provincia de Tucumán, en el noroeste argentino, cuenta con una gran trayectoria dentro del panorama de la Electrónica Tropical y fusión de música electrónica con instrumentación folklórica y autóctona. Ha publicado diversos trabajos en los últimos quince años, tanto con su alias The Peronists, pero también bajo el nombre de Fede Randall, Federico Sánchez y Dj Galgo Lazer.

Su nuevo EP "Migración Inka" (Folcore Records, 2020) propone un viaje entre la Música Andina y potentes beats electrónicos que parte desde la calma, con una canción inca-ambiental con charangos y mucho delay “Shasta” (en alusión a la mágica montaña americana). “El Recurso” se adentra aún más en el sonido indígena del disco, con épicas melodías de viento, para dar paso a la parte alta del disco con “Selvático” una cumbia amazónica urbana, bailable y poética al mismo tiempo que cuenta con la voz de Morita Vargas. La andadura finaliza en un lugar a un calmo y culminante, con el track en plan “Lo-fi Hip Hop” que lleva por título “Timing”.

One year after the release of the EP "Seres Hibridos", in partnership with Furmigadub, Venga Venga launches SERES HÍBRIDOS REMIXED which gathers free reinterpretations of the EP songs, by the invitation of the label Ohxalá Records (Porto, Portugal), and created by other producers, partners and friends of the duo.

The Portuguese duo Ohxalá is responsible for the version of “Caboclo Presidente”, while the Brazilian Kurup gives some hypnotic tones to “Longarinas”. Badsista brings her powerful beats to “Quem”, and the song “Mama” was revisited and mixed in two versions: one by the hands of the Brazilian multi-artist based in Portugal, Cigarra, and another one by the French DJ and producer Rafael Aragon. The duo itself (Ricardo Don e Denny Azevedo) remixes one of its themes, deepening and speeding up the protestive beat in “Cura”.

As the cherry on top, it's got the Brazilian VJ & Visual Artist, Veruska Girio aka Astronauta Mecanico, who currently signs the visuals for the duo's concerts, the development of a serie of conceptual videos, which will be released daily, between 15th to 20th of November, presenting each of these remixes, creating a motion picture of the EP in the end.

VENGA-VENGA is the multidisciplinary project of the artist couple Ricardo Don (vocalist, music producer, lyricist, DJ, performer and visual artist) and Denny Azevedo (vocalist, composer, DJ, performer and beauty artist). They started in 2013, and today it is an itinerant cultural movement that brings together music, performance, poetry, parties and photography, video art and urban interventions, dialoguing with sexual diversity, hedonism and migration in the form of aesthetic appeal.

Currently based in Lisbon, with 2 EPs already released and 3 official remixes produced, several soundtracks and dj-sets, they musically work on electronic music fusion, where they show their Brazilian roots influences where they go, a contemporary mix, an identity patchwork and artivism.

In Asimétrico, El Remolón presents its new sounds. Native acoustics in organic electronic spaces, successful collaborations, instrumental passages, meditative trance and invitation to movement.

After several years of introspection and studio silence, El Remolón is back with a premiere album. Searching within, in chance haphazard and error, the unfinished or simply imperfect sounds , El Remolón elaborates another sonic horizon that requires putting aside already rehearsed formulas, highlighted labels, closed categories. In this inquiry, the artist even abandons his own ways and closed shapes in Asimétrico. An album that maintains the contagious force of its danceable rhythms and at times delves into a more introspective universe, linked to contemplation.

With folkloric elements in minimalist mode and careful organic electronics, Asimétrico delivers ten crisp pieces that feature Andrés Oddone's master touch in the mix. Simple uses of guitars, legüeros bass drums and charangos are interspersed in criollos ( southamerican folk) riffs that are reminiscent of Atahualpa and, when combined with electronic textures, they generate a restorative, meditative and techno atmosphere at the same time. Between the experimental native and the global downtempo, the album features several songs that follow one another as emotional passages. This is where Asimétrico is enriched with the collaborations of Luvi Torres / Klik & Frik, Pol Nada, Lauphan, Nuriah and the revelation of the urban coplero Brawlio. Meanwhile, the collaborations with San Ignacio, Leo Silcan and Cuervo Cuervo  go deep into a more electronic and instrumental facet. The cover and photos are made by @ancherama.
