Atrice make music like they’re reverse-engineering a dream from memory - glitchy, precise, physical. The Swiss-Colombian duo operate somewhere between academic discipline and raw, system-shaking instinct. Their background in sound art and theory is like the scaffolding they climb to throw punches from unexpected angles. Every release, whether on Ilian Tape, TraTraTrax or their own Miras imprint, feels like a study in tension: synthetic vs organic, chaos vs control, deep listening vs full-body response. Their sound demands submission.

This “Delayed with…” mix is a live recording from H0l0 in NYC during a fabulous Final Passage night that felt like a pressure cooker ready to blow. Atrice went straight for the circuitry, sending pulses through a room thick with fog and anticipation. Over two hours, they bent tempo and space, stitching breakbeat mutations, sub-bass architecture, and brain-bending percussive patterns into something that felt both unstable and surgically tight. It’s not a set you glide through but one that pulls you under, spins you around, and spits you out somewhere unfamiliar but fully alive. If you weren’t there, this is as close as you’ll get to the chaos. For now.

Since then I have been hyper focused on whatever release he is putting out into the ether. One of my favorite releases was his Contrast EP on Grid Records. An innovative and immersive sonic experience, driven by the most satisfying sub-bass I've ever heard in a hot minute."

His rhythmic experimentation offers a fresh perspective on dance music, exploring a wide range of BPMs along the way.

His music has been released on respected labels like Nummer Music, Kimochi Sound, Pressure Dome, and Well Street Records.

About the mix:
“I wanted to start the mix slightly faster and with more energy than I usually do. I already had the Aleksi Perälä song in my head as an intro for a set so I went for it and built the mix from there. While doing the tracklisting the mix slowly dissolved into the emotional ambient ending which happened very naturally and felt right.”

The @zenker_brothers bring us the first set of the FOLD X ILIAN TAPE series. Marco and Dario Zenker founded Ilian Tape back in 2007, wrapping a double dose of determination and brilliance into the project, never once faltering despite initial adversity. Taking on roles of guiders, curators, instructors and products of the label, the duo have moved from their preliminary groundwork of minimal to eventually sinking their teeth into the miscellany of breakbeat, electro, techno, IDM and more which has become the tried and tested formula for success which they now continue to develop and refine.
