Rose Tang is a Mongol musician, multi-disciplinary artist, event curator, poet, journalist and activist based in Brooklyn. Her work addresses human rights abuses and the ongoing clusterfucks. She vocalizes and dances to improvised experimental music, plays electric guitar, keyboards, piano, drums, percussion. Her spoken word performances also include solo drum vocalization that features her improvised rants, classical Chinese poetry and Daoist texts. 

Tang was born and raised in Southwestern China, and studied visual art and took part in underground rock music scenes as a teenage art student in Sicuan. She's a fourth generation artist in her family. Tang worked as a journalist and radio documentary maker in Australia, Hong Kong and China for 12 years and was Ferris journalism teaching fellow at Princeton University before returning to art in 2010. She plays in more than 30 bands in New York and Seattle, and performs regularly in Brooklyn where she lives. 

She's been a social commentator on mainstream and social media. Rant, chant, sculpt, paint, play. It's all sideshows in a big show.
