CNTRL Machine is Canadian based techno duo formed in 2015 by electronic music producers Mike Graham & Phil Minotti (a.k.a. Rabbit Hole Express, ELEKTROSTRAT & TESTFEUER ). Both artists have been producing and performing live techno since 1994 with several domestic and international original and remix releases to their credit and numerous top 10 and top 100 Beatport Techno releases. 

 CNTRL Machine employs a hybrid approach combining gritty analog modular hardware with state of the art digital audio workstations to create techno music with groove elements, deep rolling bass lines, and mind melting fx smothered drops. Their influences include Plastikman, Vapour Space, Kink, Josh Wink, Jeff Mills, Hardfloor, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, The Orb, and Luke Slater.

You can't see it because of the angle with which I took the shot, aiming down, but beyond those blocks is the sea.  To the left is the Mediterranean, to the right is the Atlantic Ocean.  No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.

My music is born from simple tools: free synth and drum machine apps on mobile phones, free or low-cost software on PC. I chose this path to demonstrate that you don't need huge budgets or high-tech studios to create quality sound: all you need is an ear, passion, and a desire to experiment. My quest is to give voice to the imagination with tools accessible to everyone, transforming limitations into possibilities. Because music belongs to those who dare, not those who spend.
