DJ Caro is here to tell a story. The Brooklyn-based DJ and artist brings their background in songwriting into their sets, delivering catharsis to dancefloors through narrative-focused selections. As a member of Oakland/San Francisco DJ collective STRAPT, they aim to meld the West and East Coast club communities by throwing underground parties in both cities.
   Discovering unique sonic harmonies in different genres separates DJ Caro as a tastemaker. Blending East Coast club, breaks, jungle and footwork, the selector finds comfort in creating space. For DJ Caro, it's all about giving the crowd room to breathe and feel something. Back in late 2020, LA artists BB Shaine and Repeated Measures crafted four experimental tracks reflecting their view of society as a malfunctioning machine. The textures of sirens, beacons, and deep bass, of their "Malfunction" EP, music builds a dystopian, Sci-Fi atmosphere. Today we premiere the title track, which feels like being at a footwork battle in a post apocalyptic landscape. Out everywhere this Friday October 11 on SOULFULXNATURE.
