The third instalment features four exceptional remixes that promise to captivate both long-time fans and new listeners alike. The EP opens with a powerful remix by Taelimb, delivering an innovative take on Chase & Status’ ‘Ten Tonne’. The second track sees Kolectiv offering a high-energy rendition of Konflict’s ‘Maelstrom’, blending contemporary elements with the original's timeless essence. On the third track, Ben Kei pushes the boundaries with a bold reinterpretation of Loxy & Dylan’s ‘ Death March’, while the final track, remixed by Dushi, closes the EP with a dynamic and engaging version of Raiden’s timeless classic, ‘Fallin’.

Renegade Hardware continues to be a cornerstone of the Drum and Bass community, renowned for its commitment to quality and its influence on the genre. Kicking things off, Mistic remixes Absolute Zero & Subphonics' 'The Code', adding a dynamic and modern twist. Then, Philth delivers a deep, rolling take on Konflict's 'Roadblock' that’s sure to resonate with both longtime fans and new listeners. Hardware veteran Gremlinz steps in for the third track, offering a bold, inventive rendition of Ink's 'B-Boy Convention'. The artist scurried through the underbelly of the great megalopolis he called home with practiced ease, weaving through underpasses, alleyways, and densely packed streetsides alike as he journeyed back to a locale he had noticed in brief passing some days before. Its aging brick facade had stood out to him, forgotten amidst the forest of steel and glass that shadowed the alleyway in which it lay. Upon surface materials such as those, the pigments he would use to ply his trade were necessarily chemical in nature, a concoction specifically brewed to cling to such sleek, smooth surfaces. Brick, by contrast, was a rarity. Its porous and often deeply weathered surface allowed for all manner of ancient organic pigments to be used to mark its surface, and as such the artist treated the mortared canvas now before him with a ritualistic reverence. 

Drawing a long thin blade from within his backpack, the artist ran its delicate edge down the length of his left arm, letting the most vital of pigments well up through the thin fissure upon his skin. Then exchanging blade for brush he began his work, bringing life to his newest canvas with the energies of his own.

MOB TACTICS return to EATBRAIN with BLOODBUCKET, a three-track EP with which the veteran EATBRAIN duo unveil their latest works to sate the sonic bloodthirst of the label’s horde.

Elsewhere & OB1 - Fluctuations

Stoner, Dottor, Poison and Ethik are members of the Italian “Drum & Bass Attack” crew and have all previously
released tracks on Delta9 Recordings: in particular, the single Dexcell / Soma caught the attention of some
well-known names in the scene and was played by Misanthrop.
The new single Wireless Brain / Plaster shows the continuous evolution of the artists, always pushing their skills
to produce cutting edge, futuristic beats.
Wireless Brain starts smoothly and melodic, gradually building up to the main lead which dominates the tune
with a robotic, rhythmic soul. As the track proceeds, the listener will start to feel hypnotised by the
continuously evolving, obsessive, techy roller: a good mixture of neurofunk elements and techstep synths.
The second track has a different perspective, being more minimalistic and deeper than Wireless Brain: both
tunes share a dancefloor attitude but Plaster is focused on the experimentation of different textures. The
whole drop is composed of glitches and harsh noises which are glued together by a heavy sub that enhance
the spectrum of the track, giving a full resonant body to it.

It's been a long time coming for John Rolodex and a Metalheadz EP, 16 years on from his label debut as a collaborative feature on MDZ.04. The Canadian born and based producer and DJ is considered a pioneer of the North American drum and bass scene, and has released across a variety of labels including his own Machinist Music which he founded in 2010.

John started reaching back out to Goldie in 2017 and over the next couple of years 'The Rainmaker EP' took shape. Across 5 tracks, 6 including a bonus track, John draws from a long history submerged within drum and bass culture, the result of which is captured in the immense title track haunted and driven by Khadija's lavish vocal talents. Throughout the rest of the EP we're treated to an abundance of variety at a consistent standard, from the funk-driven 'La Bodega' to the curiously captivating sounds of 'Interdimensional Espionage' - we're glad to be welcoming John to the label for a long overdue release.

Previously dubbed the "silent assassin" of the Metalheadz camp by Goldie himself, Mikal's music has always been characterised by quality over quantity. The Swedish born, now Bristol-based producer, has the ability to keep his head down in the studio only surfacing when he's satisfied and fulfilled with his sonic creations, something he's held in high esteem for throughout the genre.

His second album on Metalheadz is aptly titled 'Metalwork' and it comes 4 and half years after 'Wilderness', his debut album labelled a "true expedition" by Mixmag and an example of "precision-engineered drum & bass" by Juno. Just like the first album 'Metalwork' contains 16 thunderous tracks, from the opening track 'Journey Into The Reverb' which comes dubbed out and perforated with amen snippets, to the tumultuous temperament of 'Breaks & Pads' which is an instant Metalheadz hit and a linchpin to the whole project.

Collaborations are loosely scattered but perfectly placed as the likes of Visionobi, DJ Thor and RIOT (who has featured on 2 previous Mikal releases) are added into the mix, but for the majority of the album this is Mikal doing what he does best, flaunting his production skills and firmly justifying his position on the label.
