Influential DJ, producer and label owner Adam Beyer takes to his own Drumcode imprint to deliver his latest peak-time floor-filler in the collaboration with Bart Skils titled 'Your Mind'.

If you’ve caught a set from Adam Beyer recently, chances are you remember this track causing mayhem. ‘Your Mind’ is a banging new collaboration with Dutch talent Bart Skils, and it absolutely caught the attention of his Timewarp, Awakenings and Ultra set audiences with its haunting chorus chant. 

'Your Mind' is released via Drumcode on June 18.

The ‘Warpath’ LP from Maztek set a precedent and not just for him as an artist. It proved that independent figures can break out on their own and in doing so, can deliver cutting edge music through their own platform, garnering just as much support from the entire drum & bass as they would have done on a more mainstay imprint. And the ‘Warpath’ LP was also significant because of the fact that it was used to launch Maztek’s 0101 Records platform, which has since gone on to host many artists who are acting as pillars of the wider scene, bringing fresh sounds to the table and delivering the upfront music which has come under Maztek’s radar.
It’s these same artists who are about to take the ‘Warpath’ LP into another dimension, drawing from its original track list and offering their own versions of Maztek’s production. From the hectic world of Merikan, who draws for his signature through his rework of ‘The Dirt’, through the take on Maztek’s ‘Come Closer’ by Insomniax, there’s a range of producers who are brought into the fray to present the album from their own worlds. Trio Inward, Hanzo and Randie get their hands on collaboration ‘Gladiators’ featuring Gridlok, whilst ‘Pandemonium’ is given the VIP treatment by Maztek. Disprove follows in quick succession with his twist on the title-track alongside Ben Verse. Korsakov stalwart Droptek draws ‘It’s On’ with Virus Syndicate into his own sonic landscape and historic drum & bass figure Optiv introduces listeners to his reimagining of ‘What You Got’. MC Mota’s vocals are taken into a new frame by Synth Ethics with ‘The Breaker’ and Kiril then has his turn on Maztek & Aeph’s ‘Trajectory’. Up next, relative newcomer Phonetick gives a more lumbering motion to ‘Electronic Warfare’, keeping the same chaotic bass riffs as the original with Redpill and Maztek’s expert manufacturing.
For one final time on 0101 Records, Signs remixes ‘Cheeky Dub’ and highlights why they were such a formidable force before their split. Then RedPill makes another appearance although this time through his own rendition of ‘Shake the Foundation’. Then before the appearance of Insomniax, Current Value delivers his manic patches of synthesis across ‘Timeless’.
As the remix album closes, it signifies just how far Maztek has come as a producer. From his beginnings on some of the most pivotal labels, through to setting up his own, he’s made his mark. With the team he now has at his fingertips, he proves this is something which will continue years from the creation of 0101

Giuseppe D'Alessandro - aka Kisk - is the owner of Apparel Music, a label based in London but with multi-cultural roots.

Kisk started his DJ career in 1998. He explored a variety of genres, from trip hop to swing, passing through jungle, West London and Detroit house, to deep house, while never abandoning Jazz – the wildest and most impeccable of all - progressively building a digital project. Out of this came the concept of Jazzy, the ability to make jazz and electronic music communicate. This passion is also manifest in the Oneboy project - musical instruments played live to a DJ set. Kisk put this project together with writer Tatiana Carelli under the name Taji bpm. Oneboy performed at the 2007 Salone Del Mobile furniture show, at various national festivals and events and on an Italian tour in 2008. Also with Taji he created the Discokit® project, a kind of “sensory stimulation kit” – the dance club becomes ‘takeaway’ and enters the world of art with more than 60 events held over two years. The discography is varied and rich in international collaborations, starting with releases for Multivitamins, then for the PRO-TEZ, The Dub, Dabit, Serie Limitèe, Vibe Me Records and many others. 
In 2009, Giuseppe creates Apparel Music - a ‘kitchen’ of artists from all over the planet. Among the many partnerships are long-established collaborations in Russia with the duo SCSI-9 and in Germany with major artists like Lopazz, Elon, Chris Wood, Tom Clark, Ekkohaus as well as Delano Smith, Moodymanc, Domu, Tuccillo, Ali Kuru, Yapacc, Casio Casino, Sarp Yilmaz, Huxley, Lula Circus, Roy Gilles, Fog, Gavin Herlihy and the list goes on. In 2015 Kisk start a new collaboration with italian maestro Claudio Coccoluto and become the project manager of his label, the dub. In 2016 born Quartet Series, a fresh imprint, run by Kisk and Nachtbraker, with four vinyl releases in the pipeline, featuring four different artists and commissioned storyboard comics on the sleeve. In 2017 born the sub-label Apparel Tronic, co-founded with SCHiLLiNG.
The last years Kisk has perfomed in special parties like Fete De La Musique, Privat, Doc Show, Maximal, EDIT Fesival and legendary clubs like Fabric, Tresor, Amnesia, Fluid, Peter Pan, Bitte, Pergola Tribe, Link, Masada, Macao and many less known but equally important parties.
Kisk has played with artists like Mount Kimbie, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, Alex Under, Dave Clarke, Shinedoe, Cedric Maison, Chymera, The Hacker, Delano Smith, Anton Kubikov, Scan7, Monica Kruse, Luke Slater aka Planetary Assault Systems, Seiji, The Advent, Mathematics, Yapacc, Daniel Wang, Noze, Silicone Soul, Ekkohaus, System Of Survival, Tim Xavier, Red Robin, Format:B, Marek Hemmann, Lopazz, Valentino Kanziani, Tobi Neumann, Kaiserdisco, Smash Tv, Alex Picone, Sasha Funke, Lula Circus, Korablove, Sarp Yilmaz, Paco Osuna, Peter Pixel, Huxley, Moodymanc, Ben Klock, Rico Casazza, Magda, Louie Austen, St. Vincent, Oliver Deutschmann, Ed Davenport...
