Usually you can’t put ƘÏÐ ƉΔŦΛ in a specific genre as he is producing several styles of music. But in this case he is showing us his signature sound he developed over the last 15 years. You could describe his music as electro-acoustic compositions as there is no good name for his kind of music. With a combination of acoustic Instruments, electronic beats and soundscapes his signature sound is melancholically melodic but yet unusualy rhythmic. Growing up with IDM, Brokenbeats and Folk Music this EP stirs it all up and combines it to something new.

Il faut puiser dans l’alchimie et la divination pour saisir les ressorts profonds d’Arcanes, le nouvel ep de Modgeist. Pensés comme la bande son d’un film ésotérique, ces cinq morceaux déroulent le fil patient d’une histoire médiévale oubliée où se pressent les ombres lunaires d'un magicien, d'une impératrice et du Malin. Ce podcast en est inspiré.

Musicien et compositeur, Mikaël Charry plonge dans la musique électronique en 2001 et effectue ses premiers live au sein du collectif de free parties KNOBZ. Il est en parallèle le créateur et compositeur d’Anakronic Electro Orkestra, groupe phare de la scène electro-klezmer (5 albums, plus de 500 concerts et de multiples collaborations : David Krakauer, Marc Ribot, Bill Laswell, Vincent Peirani…) et a intégré en 2017 le groupe de rock industriel Punish Yourself. Rattrapé par l'univers addictif des synthés modulaires, il crée son projet solo, MODGEIST, et propose des performances live jouées sur un système modulaire Eurorack, passant de la techno progressive à de l’électro downtempo. Un retour aux sources, entremêlé de cryptogrammes et de mysticisme.

You have to draw on alchemy and divination to grasp the deep springs of Arcanes, the new ep from Modgeist. Conceived like the soundtrack of an esoteric film, these five pieces unfold the patient thread of a forgotten medieval story where the lunar shadows of a magician, an empress and the Evil One rush. This podcast is inspired by it.

Musician and composer, Mikaël Charry dives into electronic music in 2001 and performs his first live performances with the free party collective KNOBZ. At the same time, he is the creator and composer of Anakronic Electro Orkestra, a leading group on the electro-klezmer scene (5 albums, more than 500 concerts and multiple collaborations: David Krakauer, Marc Ribot, Bill Laswell, Vincent Peirani...) and has joined the industrial rock band Punish Yourself in 2017. Caught up by the addictive world of modular synths, he created his solo project, MODGEIST, and offered live performances played on a Eurorack modular system, moving from progressive techno to downtempo electro. A return to basics, intertwined with cryptograms and mysticism.

Since the creation of the project at the beginning of 2016, he has played for more than a hundred events: in the first part of Jeff Mills at the Bikini de Toulouse for Electro Alternativ, at Château Perché.

The Candyman is back with a vengeance: His fabulous album „Demons“ from last year has recently been rereleased with several bonusbouncers. And Candie Hank aka Patric Catani has a new remix for Pingipung coming up soon as well. We really love his music here... the cumbia-rhythms, the gamemusic-flavour, all topped by insane melodies. On this podcast you can hear some of his fresh stuff as well as tunes by the likes of Dialect Trio, Karlmarxstadt or Prairie. Yummy!
