To celebrate our 30th episode, we are very honoured to get a recommendation from a Dj that’s played a huge part in the house music scene for over 20 years and someone who’s had a massive influence on myself, house heads around the world, and the CD’s that we feature on this site

After a famous trip to ibiza in the late 80’s… Danny set up his legendary Shoom night in London, which kicked off the rave and acid house scene in the UK. He’s helped cement house music culture in Ibiza, being a key figure in it’s growth on the island. But many know Danny through his radio shows… where he started out at Kiss FM and went onto lead radio one's weekend roster alongside Pete Tong. His Love Groove Dance Party show was the soundtrack to many people's saturday nights and I speak on behalf of thousands, to say it was an pleasure and an education to tune in each and every weekend.

He's had countless mix cd's over the years, some of which we've already featured on the site. But today, he's recommended the Decade of Dance CD, mixed by himself and released on Circa records in 1999. As it represents his favourite tracks throughout the 90's and is full of the gorgeous vocals and feel good house music Danny is know for.

So thanks again for everything Mr. Rampling. We really can't thank you enough for giving us all the amazing music and memories over the years.

For episode 033 we are really taking it back, 1992 when this came out, which seriously deserves a WTF!. Always remember borrowing it off my uncle around 1994. To this day he never got it back. (Hey, it's the only disc I officially didn't return, I was 14 ffs). But I had an excuse, 6 mini mixes of rave, hardcore and techno goodness that blew your mind. Carl Cox, Slipmatt & Lime, SL2, Krome & Time, Two Little Boys... each one battling against each other for rave greatness. The space sample, the Sesame Street sample, the Bubble Bobble sample, so many great moments and thats just 3. PLAY IT LOUD!

About the cd:
Taking it with back with this CD, another icon of the shelves at HMV. I remember the name 'Hard Times' burning itself into my memory, it was just sounded quality as a 17 year old kid. That alongside 'That important house guy from America called Todd Terry'. The CD was a double pack which basically recorded his set live, it's even got the MC at the start shouting out in a heavy Yorkshire accent, haha awesome stuff.

Special shout out to the man like Nick Sneddon for helping with this one. Keep them coming mate, so much good stuff to share and bring back to everyone. Thanks again!

039 - Todd Terry (A Night In The Life Of) - Live at Hard Times (1995)

This is the sound I was in to around 1995-1999. When US Garage and UK House kind of different but the same... really dancy with heavy bass lines, happy vocals and pianos.  The set was done before the pub as my first attempt at recording onto my laptop. And despite the sound quality not being the best, turn it up load... and it should get you dancing.

So as I’ll be playing on a boat with my Goddezz family, I thought I’d start off
with some hands in the air, big feels, euphoric piano house kind of vibes - then
easing into some funkier tech-y-er cuts, a mix of new bits from this year as well
as some old joints that I had to rip from records.
Peppered in with a few sleazy cuts from the likes of paranoid London and even
a Patrick Cowley joint in there somewhere, I feel like this mix encapsulates the
vibes I’ll be bringing on the day. Its gonna be happy, groovy, emotional and
sexy…
