Another time travel back to the mid 1990s with PsychoPlasma. These six very analogue Electro tunes were recorded by Jan Gabler and Alex Kruger between 1995 and 1997 in Berlin and have never been released so far. Why? Simply because no-one the guys knew would want to release it because back then most of it was considered to be ,too sick‘ to invest a coin or two into a vinyl release.

‚Isolation‘ is a beautiful, catchy little Pop tune, obviously with a lot of influenced from Gary Numan and the Düsseldorf School. This was the third, last and probably most developed version of the song, so the guys called it their ‚Electric Circus Mix‘. ‚Dance Electronique‘ and ‚Osmosa‘ are both trippy live Electro sessions with on-the-fly arrangements, lots of gear tweaking and unusual sound design. Expect to meet a family of funny synth animals in there. ‚Split Ends’ and the totally nuts ‚Vacuum‘ are rather on the dark & industrial side of Electro with fat drums and lots of disharmony or brutal distortions. The package ends with the
beautiful ‚Jelly Beans‘, a rather funky gem where everything seems to be a little shaky and out of tune. Well, it’s supposed to sound like that.

We think it’s about time to put these crazy tunes into the spotlight since they’ve accompanied us already for a long time and never stopped to inspire us. We hope you feel them too.

Number eight in our Break 3000 revisited classics series looks back at the first ever Dirt Crew and Sweet Slave releases on Berlin labels "Mood Music" and "Lasergun" as well as the first ever release on "Dirt Crew Recordings" back in 2004. These early tracks were produced in the period of 2002 to 2003 and marked the start of a great journey for Dirt Crew and a music genre soon to be named "Electro House" by many.

Tigerskins brand new tree-tracker starts off with a collaboration with Sarah Kim. Also known as ‘Frederick’, the vocalist is part of Berlin’s music and art collective Bipølar.

Their song ‘Got Astray’ isn’t the usual club thing you might expect, instead could be best described as an emotional space hymn for the 21st century. ‘Rush’ is a beautiful and atmospheric Tigerskin future dance classic that, once again, reflects his special love for the Australian studio duo Vanda & Young. ‘Forever’ follows this path but goes a bit deeper and jazzier and in a more acoustic way. We hope you enjoy this journey as much as we do!

Anders Hajem takes inspiration from classic house on his superb new release for Mellom.
Anders Hajem is a producer from Ål in Hallingdal, Norway with a background playing in local bands. He studied production in Oslo and was immersed in the city's nightlife while releasing as Clastique and DJ Username for his own BCR label. Now under his own name, he produced these tracks in his own studio and they find him widening his sound after his debut on Prins Thomas's Full Pupp last year. While he shows a different side, he retains his trademark sense of energy and masterfully deploys an MPC2000XL to get an authentic old-school vibe.
The opener 'Send It' has a big heart and big energy. The piano chords are party starting, the bass is fat and the groove will lift dancers off their feet. Synth lines bring plenty of colour, subtle acid textures and futuristic soul and help make this one such a characterful track.
Then comes 'Tape,' a warm and deep cut with soft, diffuse synths and a hazy atmosphere. The dusty drums and romantic chords make for a chilled vibe but with a heavy groove that also makes you dance.
It's house music for good times with close friends.
These tracks prove that whatever style Anders Hajem serves up, he always gets it just right for the dance floor.

The eights installment on Berlin-based label Melcure, the hybrid label of Melisma and Cure Music, comes from northern French artist Erell Ranson delivering the musical goodies that vary between House and Techno and cover a huge amount of moody melodic melancholic dramatic theory. Releasing music since the 90s on labels such as Kalahari Oyster Cult, LW-Recordings or Gestalt Records Nicolas Petitjean, Erell Ranson's real name, surely hits a nerve with his latest four tracker on Melcure. The B1 Pregnancy Vibes comes in rather chill with its calming pad-sounds, the ghost-esque or spooky intermezzo and  chords riding an old-school almost Detroit-ish bass line, meaningly sounding raw and unique and purposely not as smooth as a lot of productions these days. With every beat hitting and every chord floating over it Pregnancy Vibes comes closer to bear the perfect soundtrack for a nine month ride with a life long impact.
