Tigerskin returns with a batch of three very dance floor oriented tunes for sweaty disco nights. ‚Beautiful’ spreads positive House vibes with bouncy beats, jazzy chords and space cat chatter. E.L.I. is one for the Hippies, Endless hypnotic synth sequences, didgeridoos, trance is everything! The didgeridoo parts were played by Phil Conyngham for Alex Tigerskin’s personal sample library in 1997 and recorded at his apartment during a summer night till the neighbours started complaining. ‚Sliptease’ is ‚made of ecstasy‘. 80s disco synths, handclaps and hands up, this one is super catchy as well as super discoid. We love those tracks and hope you do too!

Tigerskin is back on Disco tracks. "City Nights" is a cool late 70s-influenced groover with lots of quotations. Cop cars, dealers and dirt next to organs, guitars and strings.

"Once and for All" brings back early 80s feel. Deep, laid back rhythms, fat claps, synth bass and saxophones. Yes, saxophones. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?

Two beautiful pieces from Alex Krüger's Berlin-Friedrichshain crib in 1996 . Unfortunately these were not recorded professional by modern standards but we were able to recover and finish it with the help of AI. Not to perfection but still worth the work. Both tracks breathe the unique spirit of their time, place and document the vibe that later led to Alex’s work as Dub Taylor and Tigerskin. Hypnotic, raw and timeless.

For our 50th anniversary we present you three unreleased, hypnotic Acid-versions of PsychoPlasma „Forbidden Planet“, a tune that was recorded in 1994 and came out as 12“ on Tanjobi Records in 1996. We already re-released it on Forms & Figures a few years ago. These other three versions were recorded by Alex Krüger during one night and were based on the same bass- and drum patterns of the PsychoPlasma version from few days earlier that were still in sequencer memory.

At the time Alex was still working with an all analogue setup that was based around Rolands X0X series and cv/gate sequencers, so everything sounds very early 1990s, trippy, raw and was arranged and recorded in real-time on cheap equipment. 

Some inspiration obviously came from Laurent Garnier’s „Fnac“ label, that we know Alex liked a lot at the time.

Tigerskin and vocalist Ernesto Eyong from Cameroon recorded this tune 2003 in Berlin. Actually this was the first of several versions but this is the one. “Na Tondi Wa” is a super catchy, raw, mechanic, simple and most effective Techno House tool that even after a twenty years slumber stands out and will put smiles on peoples faces. It‘s about love, too.

We found this one hidden deep in Alex Krüger’s archives. 3A22, an uptempo Electro Punk tune, was recorded in autumn 1996 with a very small setup including the Korg MS series, a Tr-808 and a Space Echo. It‘s overall vintage sound and several breakdowns with wild modulations of the bass line, it‘s only non-percussion element, still make 3A22 a stand-out tune and very different from Alex‘s other works at the time as well as later.

Jan Gabler and Alex Krüger recorded this trippy Techno session back in 2001. Walk the Bass, as the name suggests, has something strange going on in the low end that‘s constantly moving and pushing forward. This one‘s definitely for the darker dance floors and for sure not the typical clean Pop production that you‘ll get out there in Techno tracks nowadays.
