bio:

Nils Edte is an artist based in Stuttgart. Driven by his passion for music, he has evolved in the hypnotic ambient techno scene. His deep, organic and atmospherical sound identity was inspired by the classic genres and nature ambience and textures. As a huge supporter of the local culture scene, he also engages in different kinds of artistic creations and especially the connections between the different Arts.
Together with Laima Adelaide and Tama he is part of the Stuttgart based label Predawn Records.

Mix #184 is coming at you from Berlin-based producer, Octo Åeterna.

A live recording of his closing set at Gare Porto (Portugal) for the very first international Danza Nativa showcase, Octo Åeterna took dance floor dwellers on a dynamic 2-hour heady and intoxicating trip as the finale to the night after Forest on Stasys and Mind Archives. His 2022 debut EP ‘Evolutiva’ was released through the same platform, following a long career as a DJ and curator of the Noctambula” events in his hometown in South America.

Into The Abyss #045 | Anomali

Anomali is a producer and DJ from Gothenburg, focusing on deep and hypnotic techno.

After finding out how to make music with computers back in 1994, the path was clear. The electronic music revolution of the ‘90s provided endless inspiration, and soon he found a passion for house, techno, psytrance and drum & bass.

Making his DJ debut in 2002 helped him discover the creative feedback loop that both performing and producing music can lead to.

Following decades of honing his craft, throwing raves and DJing, in 2020 it was finally time to get serious. Deep and hypnotic techno felt just like home, combining influences from all of the incredible music he grew up with in the ‘90s with a modern approach to sound design.

With several remixes under his belt, and his debut EP released on Fur:ther Sessions, Anomali is off to a flying start. His mixes have been featured in platforms like Monument, KVLTÖ Records, Revelation of Sound, Indefinite Pitch, Charybdis and Cellar Door.

Immerse yourself in the captivating realm of this Swedish artist that has released music on different labels and channels, like Kabalian records and the Memoir. For our 27th episode we invited Hamburg based DJ 50PHIE (@50phie50phie), who recorded an eclectic and versatile mix, in which she’s serving the whole musical bandwrith of our project by skillfully blending various subgenres and spanning a bow between deep, dub and Detroit leaning sounds. Chapeau!

Our next guest lives in the South of Germany between Munich and the Alps. Originally started in spring 2012 as a dub techno project, evolving since then into an experimental electronic outfit with deep ambient roots and a certain kraut electronic vein. Kraut Sounds released numerous EPs, albums and live sessions for several dub techno, ambient and drone netlabels: Büro für Erdrotation, Terra Rossa, Spiel:feld Records, Diametral, Dimbideep Music, Drone Works International (all Germany), Whitelabrecs (UK), Stellar Transition (France), Adept Label (Spain) and Dub Techno Blog (UK). Juan David Idrobo aka Mind Halla es un Dj y productor originario de Santiago de Cali, Colombia, afincado en Barcelona.

Su primera conexión con la electrónica nace gracias al colectivo cultural +T, y desde que está en España ha sido co-fundador y residente del concepto de eventos “Pandora Club”, que tiene lugar en algunas las mejores salas del Pais Vasco, y lleva la curaduría de los podcasts de Ethereal Movement.
Ha participado en otros proyectos nacionales que conocemos bien, tales como Nigma, SubRadio o Stelar Booking, y recientemente le pudimos disfrutar en formato Live en un evento Spectrum en el 78/33 de Barcelona.  

Su discurso musical se orienta hacia las líneas más intensas e introspectivas del deep techno, pero sin dejar de conectar con la pista de baile. Como él mismo diría “es deep deep, pero se puede bailar…”

En esta ocasión nos ha preparado un dj set que, sin lugar a dudas, es deep deep, pero te obliga a bailar!
