Live recording of my set at the IICON Stage at Glastonbury Festival 2023. 

Wanted to do something a bit different from my usual and dig deeper into the higher BPMs + compliment the incredible visuals on that stage 😵‍💫

Following their breakout first release, "Let Me See Ya," which amassed over a million views on Instagram and won the support of notable DJs like Stacey Pullen, Mason Collective, Silvie Loto, Kidoo, Ruben Mandolini, and Perky Wires, My House Is Your House returns with a powerful second release: "Everybody's Pumpin."

Drag & Drop, the duo who launched their DJ/producer journey in 2012, have consistently proven their talent by reaching the top 100 charts and making waves with their unique, old-school-inspired yet forward-thinking sound. With releases on esteemed labels such as Bedrock, Avotre, and Deeperfect, their music has gained strong support from industry heavyweights like Sven Väth, Carl Cox, and Jamie Jones. This time, they deliver a main track that skillfully melds old-school house roots with the modern touches of minimal deep tech, pushing the boundaries of contemporary electronic music.

The remix duties are in the hands of Gabriel Evoke, a master of groove who’s become known for his seamless Minimal Deep Tech productions and releases on well-respected labels such as Moan and Likeminded. For "Everybody’s Pumpin," he brings an elegant deep house interpretation with an edge of raw acid house, creating a remix that stands as both refined and intensely captivating.

With pre-orders on Beatport starting November 22, 2024, and the official release date on all platforms on December 6, My House Is Your House continues to build momentum with a sound and vision that promises to resonate far and wide.

An absolute personal favourite for us here at For The Record. We first discovered Melv around a year ago through his infamous Instagram in which he showcases easilly one of the best Garage House / Deep House record collections on the planet! 

Through chatting on Instagram (mainly asking for track ID’s), we became friends and met up at a Soulful House party called The Shelter based in Liverpool. 

Melv’s selection is undeniably unmatched, 100% Vinyl only and his very unique mix he has made for us has been labelled “The Unshazamble Mix” by any who have listened to it due to its rarity of track selection- safe to say one of the best mixes we’ve ever been handed!

So please enjoy this very unique mix of Deep House & Garage House and you may even be seeing Melv on a For The Record show very soon ;)
