Just in time for the end of the year comes a bonus stocking stuffer from Fort Knox Five. We heard you guys loud and clear so we put together a DJ friendly package of the More Disco Remix of “My Nikes” that has been rocking dance floors & airwaves since the summer festivals.

On the original mix, Kenny Beeper and FK5 crafted a radio-friendly, sing-along anthem which had the sneaker heads jumpin! Looking to up the energy of the original hip hop mix Fort Knox Five reworked “My Nikes” with a four to the floor house beat, delivering a mid-tempo Disco remix that pushes the beats and bass into a legit stomping ‘hands in the air’ tune designed to move the dance floor. This one was tested out all festival season and it’s a surefire hit, with crowds who have never heard the track singing along with it by the end.

The More Disco Remix has been featured on numerous DJ charts, club mixes and radio shows and seems to be picking up some steam. There is no doubt that infectious disco groove has some serious swagger! Available for the first time will be a full instrumental version, and a brand new radio edit to drop in your sets!

Up first, "That Ass" sounds and feels like the title track of an original 70's movie. Whilst over on the flip, the latin flavours of "Valley Hacienda" would not sound out of place playing for sunset at Cafe Mambo in Ibiza, but still holds on to the funk. Two tracks that shouldn't work together on an ep, but full credit the duo's incredible musical ability, and production skills for merging these two sounds together so perfectly. The Two tracks delivered here will keep those summer vibes hanging on for a while longer. Let the sun shine on!

First up for Party Platters Vol. 1, “Love Rap Thang” is a strong Disco Break that is like a 70’s Soul Train Line and a classic Hip Hop MC got together and made a love child. Qdup’s beats and bass marry the classic party rap vibe with new school production prowess that really hits a sound system right. This will get the party moving! As the name suggests, “Funk Over Here” has all the funk in the trunk to make the bass bins bump. It’s infectious bass line and call and response vocal chants will have the dance floor saying “Hell Yeah”. Pure vibes! @kibosh-music has returned with a fist bumping funk roller stroller, essential for your sunshine barbecues! We watched him make this track and documented the steps for his upcoming cook book:

Drink tequila, preheat the grill, marinade a slab of lush funk in tambourines, sprinkle in a cup of cowbell, add a pinch of summer, drink tequila, remove the 12 minute freestyle solo and drink tequila! His mouth looks numb but he looks fabulous in that apron that looks like he’s wearing stockings and suspenders, he then pretends to be a robot with the spatulas as he drinks more tequila. He’s a genius! When he turned the slab of funk over he drinks more tequila! He then pretends to be the chef from the muppets before he drank tequila again, then he fell over and we watched the slab of funk burn like Daenerys Targaryon’s dragon eggs. We all woke up the next day naked and hey Presto! One severely tight re-bake of The Meters’ funk groover Pocky Way is yours forever, for free! Bon appetite!
