This is the third electro release from Erta Ale for Solenoid Records. Side A is characterised by two tracks in which we find Erta’s distinctive energy and attention for the dance floor, but thanks to the attentive use of a Juno 106 these two songs also acquire a dreamy and even romantic emotional mood. This side is perfect for specialist radio too.  Side B excites us with an “electropical” track rich of Erta’s elements: tribal voices, percussion, a very strong ostinato bass line and acid sketches that takes us into an even more obscure and hypnotic atmosphere.

Breakthrough UK duo Tibasko are quickly establishing themselves as purveyors of an epic, highly melodic and unique sound that sits somewhere between breaks, house, techno and trance. Annie Mac has been a huge supporter over the last couple of years, which has led to plaudits from BBC Introducing, naming them in The Hot List of acts in August 2019 and number three in their Ones to Watch 2020 list.  
They’ve also been named by Kiss FM as Ones to Watch for 2020 and have had previous releases on notable labels such as W&O Street Tracks and Toolroom with DJ support including Denis Sulta, Hammer, The Black Madonna and many more.
Their latest is the ‘Only You’ EP, which lands on the Another Rhythm imprint: a label to which Tibasko are far from strangers having been a part of their journey from the very start. 


A two-track release, it’s a project that’s indicative of the duo’s unique blend of electronica. With a backbone of broken beats and elegantly intertwining synths, the ravey vocal and pulsing bassline combine to evoke an atmosphere that delicately balances nostalgic yearning and visceral punch. 
Tibasko’s ability to evoke intense, heartfelt emotions while never losing sight of the dancefloor is precisely what connects them so firmly to their audience, and the new release is another prime example of their impressive alchemy.

Hotseat Recordings return for their second release, as Trans-Neptunian Orbit has steps up with a 3 track, Electro influenced masterclass EP. Trans-Neptunian Orbit joined the Hotseat Family for our first release, with the contribution of '10 Years From Now', which was incredibly well received. 

This EP is a concept expressing the emotions felt when frantically searching through space for new human life forms. 'Journey To The Unknown' & 'Warp Speed' perfectly capture the excitement of the unknown. The third and final track 'No Sign of Life', is an atmospheric & melancholic trip that conveys the emotions of finding no more than barren wastelands on the 'Journey to the Unknown'.

Four Four Premiere: Trans-Neptunian Orbit - Journey To The Unknown [Hotseat Recordings]

For this edition of Chromies we’re sending all the money to the he School Of Bop in London, which is a free to attend space and are providing music workshops for young people aged 13-25. SoB opens an avenue for self-expression of young people from all walks of life. In a safe and inspiring space, the workshops venture into the sounds of Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz, Garage, Drill, Afrobeat and Grime. By exposing young people to talented professionals, they aim to highlight the idea that music can be a viable career path as well as creative and therapeutic outlet.
