Bio:

Jason Jesse has been building a respectable name for himself in the National Capital Region with his signature vocal tribal-tech house sound since he began dj'ing professionally over 6 years ago. His musical talents, as well as his personable and down-to-earth nature, have seen him perform alongside notable artists such as the world class Victor Calderone, Tiesto, Deadmau5, Pablo Ceballos, Laid Back Luke, David Morales and other top talent like Carlo Lio, Rob Mirage, DJ Heather, Angel Mores, Martin Villeneuve, Deko-ze, D-Unity and The Junkies. Playing countless events in Ottawa including Canada Day 2011 Escapade with Tiesto, Jason has also been behind the decks in cities such as Montreal and recently played 2011 Scareo event opening for Victor Calderone at (((Stereo))) and Gaya 2010 Music Festival. He also played other cites such as Toronto and several stops during a 2009 east coast tour in Halifax, NS, Edmundston NB, Moncton, NB, and St. John's, NF.

Not content with the DJ standard of playing one song after another, with only a brief period of mixing in between, Jason has explored emerging musical technolgies and now integrates samples, loops and multi-track layering into his sets using Ableton Live DJ/music arrangement software, essentially creating live remixes during each performance. Expect to hear and feel the tribal rhythms of ethnic percussion, juxtaposed against the electronic sounds that are as ever-evolving as the technologies that create them. The drums call to our instinctual need to move our bodies to driving rhythms as ancient as any form of artistic expression, while the electronic elements will intrigue, involve, and challenge the more cerebral aspects of our human cognition.

2009 was the birth year for interdimensional label Betamorph Recordings. To our friends in China it may have been the year of the Ox, but in the Dubstep calendar it was the year of the ALIEN. Growing from the bass heavy fruit of veteran DJ's and producers Dylan James (aka Deej) and  Chris McCahill (aka Megatron), Betamorph has been pummeling the scene with a twisted series of epic soundscapes and dirty symphonies.
