Mirage a trois:  Supersillyus "Trip" "Hop" Dj Set live from the Brooklyn Mirage

Live in Cappadocia, Turkey, October 2022. 

This set was recorded on a hot air balloon over 3000ft in the air for a 20 person dance floor. WOW. Absolute peak life moment! This is the maximum height that balloons are allowed to fly. The views were completely otherworldly from up there. This was also one of the first DJ sets of its kind, with a generator powering a full PA sound system in the basket.

Moments like these remind me how magical life can be if you find an outlet for your artistry. 

Huge thanks to Chelsea and Oren at the Exquisite Artist Retreat for making dreams a reality. It was beyond amazing!

Feeling humbled to play a sold out show in my hometown opening up for Emancipator in Salt Lake City. It has always been my dream to share pieces of music that have inspired me or touched my heart. This past show I played more of my own original content than I ever have before. This was the first time I walked off stage feeling proud of the track selection, mixing, scratching and performance. Usually I am feeling discouraged after I play knowing I could have done better or focusing on a small mistake; however, this time I feel great about it.  stay tuned for more content. It's been an interesting year for music... The abrupt halt in us sharing music in live contexts definitely shook me up in ways, and the ups and downs of my creative process have made me wonder lately what really matters in all this to me.
I tried on existing with the stress of "needing to figure out how to redesign my career" to make it more "worth(?) it" without shows , the thought maybe i need more followers and more posts and more likes , to be "better(?)" or "bigger(?)"
Some days i'd open the studio door and wonder : "is this officially an office job now???? really, is it???
Is music but a product to be sold in some capitalist system?
Fuck no.
the studio to me is meant to be a temple, a safe-haven for expression and creativity.
this music is a gift to be shared. it's a vibe that has connected people for times immemorial, in continuously evolving forms. so much bigger than any individual.

I wanna take a moment to say thank you if you've been a listener, and if this music has moved you or inspired you, that means the most to me.
You're more than just another follower or like , you're part of this world with me.

Our world is going through some crazy times, and  i think it is very important for us to question the ways we relate to each other as humans, and what our true value systems are. Each of us has an input on reality.

Ive been putting out music on solstice for years now, but had to take some deep moments this year for myself to remember...
i love music, creating is a pleasure to me, and i love sharing it as well
i believe we are all connected through this web of life
so i offer these sounds as a gift
