He takes his futuristic sounds to cult events like Houghton, where he plays this summer. Meanwhile, Richie Blacker was forged in the Irish underground and collides rave, techno, house and 90s vibes into nostalgic yet melodic sounds on Armada Music, Anjunadeep and SHEN. The brilliantly uplifting 'Rapture' opens up with an electrifying rhythm that soars through the stars. Cosmic pads bring a balmy edge, smooth, heavenly vocals are drenched in soul, and deft breakbeats tumble through the sky to keep things moving before rugged synth sequences power onwards in driving fashion. Depth Perception Sessions #100 - K Loveski

Karl Draum, hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, grew up amidst the vibrancy and creative chaos of the 90s. His inspiration is rooted in Swedish melodic heritage with additional influences from EBM, italo, trance, and 90s Eurodance.
Karl's debut track, "Control Me”, was released on the respected label Club Mackan and has been played in mixes released by the likes Khidi, Minitel and Something Spæcial. His style is an eclectic fusion, and his DJ sets are characterized by high energy and infectious melodies, marrying the darker, more intense side of electronic music with the euphoric melodies of Italo Body Music and trance, creating a powerful and emotive musical experience.

Hello and welcome once again to the Depth Perception Sessions, a playground for lovers of cutting edge electronic music.

This week we welcome Dutch DJ Mindbox to deliver Episode #130. He brings us a classic mix of techno and house from around the world.

Bio:

In the sets of Dutch dj Mindbox, a lot of things come together ...

That probably has something to do with the fact that he bought his first set of turntables back in 2002, and has been spinning mostly techno ever since. With the occasional detour into other genres, depending on the vibe of the venue or party.

After years of playing vinyl (back when old-school beatmatching was still the standard) he made the switch to timecode vinyl. During that period, Mindbox played under various aliases at techno parties and festivals. Sometimes solo, but often back-to-back.

Starting his mixing career with Neapolitan techno, flowing through deep house, minimal, and tech house, he eventually found his way into the world of melodic techno. But now that a big part of melodic techno is becoming more and more vocal-driven (with those long, trance-like vocal lines), Mindbox is shifting his focus. He’s drawn to loop-based vocals (a love that goes way back), and to the housier, more energetic side of melodic techno. Less floaty atmosphere, more drive and groove.

His latest mix is a tightrope dance between housey vibes, spaced-out moments, and always-grooving melodic techno. Hello and welcome once again to the Depth Perception Sessions. This week we welcome Berlin based artist and DJ Ornery, with a powerful session to blow out the winter chills. 

Bio:

Producer, DJ, Label Owner and Sound Engineer, half of live techno duo SPHR;
Ornery is a multi-talented artist based in the vibrant city of Berlin.
Influenced by a broad range of genres and styles, his inspiration draws from the entire spectrum of electronic music; with a penchant for the dark, emotional and intense, all of which contribute to his unique artistic voice.
After his chart-topping debut solo EP as an artist, “Evolution”, his production output hasn’t seen any signs of slowing down, with a string of originals and remixes on labels such as (in alphabetical order) Aesthetika, Dear Deer, Dynamica, Flemcy, Inner Shah, Kitchen, Pursuit, Reconsider, Rezongar, Stellar Fountain, Sync Forward, Us & Them, Vesta.
In the last few years, his well-celebrated sets have graced the decks of some of the most iconic Berlin clubs; other than appearing at numerous showcases in London, Ibiza, Miami, Hamburg and Barcelona. His ability to create a captivating atmosphere on the dance floor has earned him a devoted following among electronic music enthusiasts.
