While I kept the first verse and chorus veeery close to the original song, I then left the original style by having multiple pianos playing different melodies simultaneously, and by replacing strings by electric guitars. Tell me what you think. :)

When I think of my childhood, this is one of the first songs that come to my mind – it was released when I was ten years old.

I decided to go for mouth percussion instead of "real" drums (read: FLStudio samples) to give the song a more relaxed atmosphere.

Life Anew

I have to admit that I didn´t know any of Bowie´s music until the test flight of SpaceX´s Falcon Heavy rocket, which sent Elon Musk´s Tesla Roadster into an orbit around the sun. That Tesla played "Space Oddity" during the launch.

The strong inspiration I felt when that rocket lifted off (and the side boosters landed back on earth!) got inseparably tied to Bowie´s music – so I really, really had to do a cover of this song.
