I must say, Fra, to meet the challenges you describe in your track note with sounds like these is an ispiration to me. The sweet pleasure in idleness here comes tinged with a delicious and knowing weight. I like it very much.

When listening to a song, we never know all the work and effort that has sometimes been necessary. The important thing is the great final result that you both have achieved. Great collaboration :) I toast to the phrase "Dolce far niente", as necessary as the Spanish "siesta"  ;)

"Dolce far niente" is an Italian expression that means the sweet pleasure of doing nothing, of enjoying life in a relaxed, slow, and contemplative way, without commitments or guilt, a concept linked to Italian culture and the beauty of idleness.

That should have been a little, disengaged piece to easily record but while working on it we both had a lot of problems: some health issues, a couple of weeks without Internet connection, a new PC with consequent loss of a lot of musical software and a mess with projects on my new DAW [Panic!]... Boring, irritating things, exactly the opposite of the song's spirit, but in the end we made it!
