Jungle Kitchen, the innovative experimental downtempo project of Baptiste Sejourne and Pablo Vicencio, has been elegantly redefined by a select group of remixers in this diverse yet cohesive collection of music. The vocals of Nina Nassif are a common thread through the project which journeys through a wide range of energy and emotion. The remixers come from a wide range of backgrounds and find themselves living in creative vortexes from South and Central America, Asia and somewhere in between. The album is an invitation into a dreamy yet rhythmically intricate exploration of sound with influences from around the world which transcend any particular culture or heritage.

Jungle Kitchen - Sorina (Steffen Ki Revision)

We are in a new era, a time that many say has come to connect with the sacred feminine energy and sow the seed of healing to the wounded masculine energies. It is time to reconnect with the mother energy and ancestral wisdom, leave our fears behind and wake up all together.

In "Cantos a la Madre" (Chants to the Mother) each artist presents a vision of the concept of "mother" in their own "chant", forming a multilingual compilation that investigates the development of a new electronic music in harmony with the lyrical tradition of different cultures. It includes songs in native languages of South America such as Quechua and more unusual musical experiments in German, Ukrainian, Hebrew, as well as many in Spanish, English and more. 

With a large femenine presence plus the invitation to work in a mixed way between women and men, the album is an attempt to take electronic music one step further, rescuing the use of the human voice and, as well, reflecting on this broad and wonderful concept of ¨the mother¨, a concept that is transversal to all living beings on this planet.

All donations on bandcamp will go directly to the artists, heavily affected by the closure of all live shows for a long time. We invite the public to listen and collaborate with this project with the intention that any help, whether in donations or simply by sharing this album (that’s free!), is in itself a little but important seed for the rebirth of this art and part of its community.
We hope you enjoy this release with a flavor of folktronica, downtempo, house and experimental, created with endless love as a musical jewel to delight not only the ears, but also the heart and soul.

About the Track:

This track was created with the intention to capture the frequency of Excitement. Excitement itself is a frequency that we can resonate at and that can be found everywhere in nature. It is an internal guidance system pointing to the magnetic north of our souls deepest desires. Since I started following my heart and acting only on what truly excites me, my life has changed profoundly. I find myself more fullfilled, happy, inspired and free then ever before while in the past there was a time where I tried to fit in, trying to be someone I am not and pleasing everyone without honoring my own feelings, needs and desires. I hope this track inspires the listener to find out what excites them the most and to act on that passion and to trust that abundance and joy will be the reward for the courage.

I believe the things we are excited about are connected to our purpose and the reason why we are here.

Steffen Ki - Act On Your Higest Excitement

Friends asked me, if I could make some music for their daughter. She is suffering from chronic illness for some years now. Especially her lungs have some issues. So I created a healing song, to support her lungs and her liveliness. 
She loves dancing and is quite powerful. so I made her a dance track.

This track contains 7,83 Hz as an isochronic tone and is written in D major, which is supporting the lungs. Also I utilised 111 Hz, 396 Hz,for the inner organs and letting go of fear, which may hold her back in her liveliness and 528Hz the miracle frequency.

I hope you enjoy this song as much as Leonora does 😃

As I listened to the field recording my attention instantly went to the polarity of city and nature sounds. My intention was to fuse them with each other, bringing harmony to nature and the way we humans live on this planet.
I started off experimenting with the sample, trying to bring out different resonances and my first feel was like an ambient type song. I brought in some synthesizers, into this mixed sound of crickets and traffic. Played a bit with the sonic depth of field and opened up a realm, which I could explore. 
In this realm I could feel the energy rising, an ambient track would not represent the place from where the recording was taken. It needed more groove, it should be danceable but also relaxed at the same time.
So I fused organic percussions and instruments with synthesizer and a beat. I also fused the original recording with the whole track, there are parts where the recording is present and gets room to come more into the foreground and on other times it is nearly totally quiet in the backgrounds, but it always adds its sonic character. 
As I always tend to do, I imagined the song as a sonic journey, taking you into that other realm, showing the possibilities and gently bringing you back to reality with this new experience. 
I believe if we reconnect more with nature and let nature's frequencies get us in tune again, we may find ways to fuse our modern way of living with nature in a way that will benefit not only us humans as a species, but our Mother Earth as a whole.

Seeing Things

As the label celebrates its 10th release, Moon By Day continues to solidify its reputation as a platform for dreamy, downtempo electronica and acoustic beats. At its core, the label showcases music from the heart, inspired from all around the world, and the debut EP from Louis Tobin aka MOONTIDE continues to embody this philosophy. As the EP title suggests, the Melbourne-based producer takes us on a journey of his 27th year, not only emotionally but also physically, with the tracks recorded between Central America and Australia’s Mornington Peninsula. Varied, yet coherent, Tobin explores the boundaries of downtempo electronica with this milestone release for the label.

Opening the EP is the sexy, yet emotive Amore, with its slinky, seductive pace and layers of string samples. With melancholy chords and cinematic crescendos, Broken is a high-energy, breakbeat- influenced cut, conveying a range of complex emotions. Lolite is both beautiful and driving with its heartbeat-esque rhythm and dramatic vocal samples. Both meditative and slightly eerie, The Only Wanderers is somewhat of a nod to the producer’s spirituality with its pulsating percussion and layered instrument samples from the didgeridoo through to the sitar.
