Challenged myself to make three tracks in a week. Marked improvement vs the 6 months I would take for one, in previous years. For that, this is a win. These will be up for a while to listen to. And free DL if nobody listens to them. I'm over caring too much about my output, and I want to work on some other ideas and approaches.

G'day g'day, another 6 months has gone by since the last Pugcast so I felt it was only natural to record the final mix in the series to showcase some of the stuff I have been working on and have coming over the next year or so!

It is crazy even with 3 full 1 hour production mixes I still haven't even covered half of the music that I am sitting on currently.

Inside this mix is a blend of dubby and musical vibes across the bpm spectrum! Thanks for all your support with Ruff Kutz lately, at a time where it's proving more challenging to create physical media - you keep the culture alive!

The Blacklight Special - Sans Nom's Ain't Fucking Around Techno Mix

Ears are crispy again so it’s time for something other than ride cymbals. Also beatless #ambient is fun and intuitive. I might add more textures to this but it’s always nice to unwind not think so much, and let go. Also as a powerhouse, analog 4, novation peak and iridium can’t be beat. Bloom in effect on big sky and the RE-20 is going through the phaser on modfactor. I programmed a pattern on keys and did some midi time stretching.

Ultra rare sounds in a lost mix from one of the greatest DJs in the world. Paul Johnson mixing electro, synth and '80s classics in a unique throwback mix called RETROJACKTIVE.

Where This Mix Came From:
For a time, Paul Johnson was posting mixes to SoundCloud almost weekly and would delete them when they reached 100 downloads. I was one of the 100. Sometimes people re-uploaded them on SoundCloud or Mixcloud. But looking back through 5 Mag's archives, I found this mix again and realized that not only had it disappeared from the internet, but even the word "retrojacktive" turned up 0 search results. This might be the only copy of a very rare side of Paul Johnson. 

We have about three or four other mixes like this — either vanished from the internet or available in very restricted formats.
