Dutch duo Black Cadmium team up with Vault Wax this summer to deliver a five-track EP entitled ‘Our Legacy’.
Joginda Macnack and Mike Richards, who make up the Black Cadmium duo, are two Dutch DJs, producers, and radio hosts of Surinamese descent who focus on a wide variety of authentic music. Black Cadmium are heavily influenced by the London to Detroit connection—from Hi-Tek to grime-tinged, UK sounds. On their musical journey, they have found themselves and delivered enchanting music on labels such Naive, Afro Acid, Ovum, United Identities, and acid-focused, Rotterdam-based imprint, Vault Wax, who the pair team up with again this summer. These two creative minds will guide you through their interpretation of sound with an explorative vision and an anything kind of attitude. Our pick falls on ‘Bohemian’ which rounds things off with lush melodies, rattling highs orbiting the zappy modulations that together effortlessly emanate an inspiriting aura throughout.

The 13th release on Desert Hearts Records is appropriately our most sinister EP to date and comes from up & coming LA based "weirdo house" producer, Fritz Carlton.

The first track on the EP is titled 'Doses' comes from Fritz and fellow LA based producer, Lubelski. Featuring sinister lyrics from rapper Daemon, this hip-house party anthem is so facetiously over the top it reminds us of the devil on your shoulder when you're partying at 5 in the morning. Let's be real here, we all like to get silly on the dance floor, so why do we pretend like it's not happening? Why can't we talk about these things? With a downright evil bassline and off beat snare drum patterns to accompany the lyrics, 'Doses' is sure to ruffle some feathers and murder dance floors across the world.

The title track 'T.M.K.N.' wraps up the whole vibe of the release as a grueling bassline is paired with a sinister pitched down vocal proudly announcing "That's My Kinda Night". With snare drums and tweaked out wobbles galore, we think you get to know Frtiz Carlton pretty well by the end of the EP. We think this debauchery loving weirdo is going to fit in very nicely at Desert Hearts Records.

The first release on the newly established @Greyhound-days imprint comes from Christian Kroupa alias Alleged Witches, hailing from Slovenia, who proved his skills and innovation as a participant at the Red Bull Music Academy in 2014.

Since then he became one of the most prominent names of Slovenia's techno and house scene, with making appearance on the mighty Fabric mix compilation, producing a remix of Alex Smoke for legendary Belgian label R&S, while also releasing a 12” entitled Serve The Spirits on R&S sub-label Meda Fury.

»One Skilled In The Black Arts« EP consists of four tracks, meant for dictating the dance floor with their drum workout, as well as luring you into its deep ritualistic feel, with distant native tongues echo.

For an extra wonderful hypnotic polyrhytms, a rework has been provided by @marcopassarani, one of the Italian leading dance music producers and DJs, who continues to be an inspiration and providing his knowledge and skills to younger generations. While Bristol based Jacob Martin alias @HodgeBristol demonstrated his expertise in percussion, resulting in an slamming rework, not meant for the faint-hearted. Just shows, why Hodge is one of Bristol's most exciting new names.
