We’ve Met Before’ is the long-awaited, debut album from Rounds - a London-based three piece consisting of Robert Cooper (vocals, synths), Andrew Chapman (guitars, synths) and Ashley Kemp (drums, samplers).

After 2014’s ‘Falter’ EP and regular plays across Radio 1, 6 Music, XFM and the NME, plus a more recent hat tip from globe-trotting house pusher George Fitzgerald, ‘We’ve Met Before’ propels Rounds further forward, showcasing their most cohesive blend of vocals, electronics and live instrumentation to date. Still impossible to pin down, the band's influences continue to be myriad - fusing indie, bass music and everything in between.

Standout tracks include first single ‘Feel’, an intriguing fusion of Cooper’s lullaby-like vocal hooks, Chapman’s soothing piano chords, submarine ambience and lo-fi house. ‘Die Dreaming’ is a more uplifting, radio-friendly affair, with Kemp’s solid drum groove supporting the infectious line ‘slow down your breathing, until you die dreaming’. The rhythmically ticking, clock-like rhythms of ‘Fawn’ and the purity of ‘Honest’ deal with relationships ending and the importance of acceptance; whilst the soothing and unique fusion of genres, songwriting and musicianship heard on ‘Fatherhood’ closes the album in fine form.

Rounds will resume playing live in the next few months, having enjoyed prior successful shows with the likes of Seekae (Future Classic), Lapalux (Brainfeeder), My Panda Shall Fly (Witchita) and Klaus (1800-dinosaur).

Needing Release - The Irrepressibles

British indie singer-songwriter Freddie Dickson writes and sings songs of a dark romantic nature. Often armed with his beloved Fender Jaguar and inspired by the likes of Nick Cave and Portishead, Dickson's melancholic melodies weave their way through both his solo work as well his songwriting collaborations with other artists.

In 2018, seeking new inspiration, Freddie decided to move from London to Berlin where he would finalize the recording and production of his second album Blood Street.  Sketching various scenes of modern society and its darker shades, Blood Street received widespread acclaim from local critics and blogs alike.

After Blood Street and all the ongoing confusion in the world, Dickson sought catharsis through his music and looked to calm the anxieties of a life unknown. Themes of uncertainty, loss and self-awareness inspired his upcoming EP Idiot's Dream. Having immersed himself in the vibrant Berlin music scene, Dickson began recording and producing the four songs with his band in various Berlin studios.

Dickson paints a picture of Berlin nightlife and the trials and tribulations of moving to a new city. Late night shots of underground Berlin and filming in an old Stasi Headquarters sets the tone for Dickson’s fascination with Berlin’s underbelly.

Idiot's Dream EP was released on June 4th 2021.
