Fred, I often come back here to check the purchase link to see if it was updated....and it's been broken forever. I can't find this beautiful remix of yours to purchase anywhere...can you help shed some light?

Back once again to comment like a renegade master...and (sigh) the little counter above ^ in the window says "5 years ago"....5 years ago man...5 freekin years....and we still haven't been able to buy this amazing remix. Surely it's not likely to get an official release now, any chance of a free giveaway Fred, maybe reach out to Prides and see if they are up for it? Not much effort to do that? Anyway, we live in hope ;-)

The Knocks' "Modern Hearts" really sounded like a really great remix of an 80's New Wave track, even though it is an original song. I figured I'd work backwards and try to make my song sound like what they sampled to make "Modern Hearts". I hope that makes sense without knocking The Knocks. Nonetheless hope you like the track!

The first in a series of singles Figgy recorded with Brooklyn vocalist Angelica Bess (Body Language), Take It Back marks a turning point for the producer, moving heavier into songwriting and recording of live instruments. Live bass, warm pads and catchy guitar riffs lay down the bed for Angelica’s soulful vocals to pull right on the heart strings. While the subject of heartbreak may be a familiar trope, it’s the honesty and simplicity that make the tune stand out. The slight influence of 80’s R&B and boogie ads a feeling of nostalgia, but with enough modern elements to keep you in the present.
