Chris Dyck is a DJ, producer, entrepreneur and music aficionado based in Calgary, Alberta. Currently, Chris owns and manages Rum + Bass, a unique national online radio company that, for over a year, has been featuring North American artists in podcasts and most recently has been extended to include a magazine with plans to launch a free label in 2016.

Freelikz, born Chris Dyck in 1986, held his first DJ residency in 2006 at the Static Ultra Lounge venue in Calgary and became involved in organizing all sorts of fabulous evening adventures, working with international artists such as Mark Dynamics, Dirty South, and Phil York under the production companies Nu:tribe and !nfamous Productions. 

He is well known for his body of work under numerous aliases for Total Wipes, Atomic Zoo in 2009, Rapid Fire Records, Audio Planet Recordings in 2011; Supreme Hustle in 2013, and finally; Broken Monster Records in 2015. Working under the former labels Freelikz toured Cuba in 2011 and South East Asia in 2013.

During his career Freelikz has went from hard dance and Electro house to broken beats that includes drum and bass, breaks, glitch hop and ghetto funk. His Forthcoming productions scheduled for early 2016 include a ghetto funk EP, three singles and two remixes. Freelikz continues to be a key player and highly respected contributor to the Canadian music scene.

Since his beginnings in 2001, Freddy J has been on a focused mission of constant development, moulding a unique style that is sure to deliver dancefloor mayhem. With twenty years as a leader of the scene, he has cemented himself as one of Canada’s premiere DJ’s.  
He never fails to bring the best bass-driven party funk possible, with a style that can be described as electro meets funky, dirty, whompy, groovy, bassline. Having headlined at a multitude of club and festival events, the experience Freddy J brings to the tables shines through and gets people moving on the dancefloor. 
2024 saw Freddy J open the Fractal Forest as part of his 14th appearance at Shambhala Music Festival, and once again he showed why he keeps getting invited back year after year... this is definitely one DJ you won’t want to miss!
