Despite being a small town in Norway surrounded by seven mountains, the Hall of Fame of Bergen is home to many world famous names including Edvard Grieg, Erlend Øye and Röyksopp. It’s also home to Made In Sane, an enigmatic duo with a passion for all things analogue and Eighties. They also have a knack for melody, as they display in their enchanting debut Flying Circuits.

Remixes come from Man Power and Mørkeby. Not much is known about Man Power. We know the mysterious whizz kid lives in Europe and he has a release coming up on John Talabot’s Hivern Discs... Second remix comes from Mørkeby, yet another Norwegian disco talent we can add to the Eskimo list next to Prins Thomas, Todd Terje and Lindstrøm.
 
Flying Circuits is taken from The Pink Collection, the first installment in a brand new Eskimo compilation series. Out now.

Berlin based DJ/Producer Re.you has joined forces with up and coming talent Florian Busse on a 2-track EP, ‘Purple Claim’ on Davide Squillace’s famed label, This And That and following from recent releases on Kompakt, Mobilee, Hot Creations and Keinemusik among others.

The EP kicks off with ‘Cuando’ and its heavy drum beat and hypnotic vocal which immediately captures the listener's attention and leading to a transcendental journey!

The B-side ‘Intersection’ gets straight to the point and turns into a dancefloor tech house piece which hints of acid, arpeggios and trippy synths that will surely keep you on a continuous groove.

Purple Claim puts Re.you & Florian Busse's signatures style at the forefront. Waving the flag for Germany, the boys are continuing to deliver proper beats!

Freeride Millenium head to St Petersburg and the Delicate Features duo for another excellent EP that follows previous great outings on the label.

This pair is made up of singer Radmila Nikogosian and composer Pavel Astvatsaturian and they have consistently put out music that grabs the imagination. Labels like Not Not Fun as well as Freeride Millenium have released their sounds and ensured the pair grow ever more prominent in the scene with their superbly emotional music that draws on ambient, abstract and downtempo.

Opening up the EP is ‘Brume’, a widescreen ambient masterpiece that has fluttering keys and gorgeous pads extending off to the horizon. The majestic ‘Because I Want To’ introduces gentle drums but the focal point again is the exquisite melody, deft keys and angelic vocals that bring heavenly feel.

The halfway point is marked by the super slow and heavy drums of ‘Nude’, a spacious dub cut with ambient beauty soothing your soul, then ‘Pulkovo Lights’ is an eight-minute journey into bumpy rhythms that feature more fantastic synth craft and grand composition. This most delightful of musical trips closes with the stunning melancholy of ‘Way Home’ which has vulnerable keys and acoustic guitars drifting in space.

This is timeless music that is beautifully crafted and is utterly absorbing from start to finish.

Remix time is good time. And good time … whatever. Johannes’ album „Lichtenberg“ gets retweaked. Starting with all-time comrade Lauer slicing another synthwave when reworking „Chestnut Poetry“. He never sounded more elegant. Aera of Innervisions & Permanent Vacation fame is next in line remixing „Hooligan“. Can you imagine drunk british hooligans? Talking about the good ones on E. A bit of bright piano dream. We stay in London for a bit when Kiwi comes into the mix. „Milieu“ is the song he choses and he speeds up the whole affair and let Gundula speak. Dirk Puchta aka Marbod took the pictures of the Lichtenberg cover. His mix is finishing in a fine tradition. It is whirring in not too far distance.
