Back in 2013 we hosted the showcase of a label that we loved most, PERMANENT VACATION, which already with its first releases had immediately let the electronic scene fall in love with them and made people talk about themselves. 
After 7 years, we are happy to still have a wonderful relationship with Benjamin, co-founder and DJ producer of the label, and also one of the best musical talent scouts in the sector. In love with Italy, his latest album AMIATA is a sound homage to the atmospheres that are felt in front of the monumental mountain that is located in the provinces of Grosseto and Siena.

Queer Base is an organization based in the TürkisRosaLila-Villa in Vienna aimed to socially and legally counsel LGBTIQ+ refugees that arrive in Austria. Together with Freeride Millenium a solidarity compilation is coming out on July 30th where all profits will be donated to Queer Base. The compilation is available through freeridemillenium.bandcamp.com. More info on queerbase.at.

This broadcast is in different languages that represent the languages of clients in order to reach out to their communities to understand: You are not alone! There are people that speak your language, have your culture and are the same as you are! Different aspects will be highlighted in a discussion such as present the organization itself and having testimonials from clients. Radmila Nikogosian from the St. Petersburg duo Delicate Features will take you on an abstract pop journey fueled to be a fast emotional rollercoaster. In a further step we talk about intersectional racism within queer communities and how to cope with these feelings from an perspective in Arabic. Stepping musically up with slow disco and space downbeat is Amy.G.Dala from Germany. Faris Cuchi will continue the discussion and talk about how and where to find mental health and reach out to the community. The closing set will be a disco supernova with futuristic and uplifting house by Jenouise who is one half of Zombies In Miami from Mexico. All talks were initiated by Marty Huber.

It’s not been too long since we spoke to Glaswegian artist Andrew Thomson, more precisely it was in March this year when the pandemic overrun any artist or any person involved in the artistic field. As the label owner of Huntleys + Palmers, Belters and Highlife, as a DJ and radio-host Andrew was and still is one of those people, whose life was turned upside down overnight. But as the optimist he is, even though it was difficult for Andrew to keep that positive vibe up, he’s found ways to deal with the current situation, which does not necessarily mean he’s leading the good life but giving us realistic insights into the future of clubbing, his attitude towards certain social media trends, the future of his record labels and what he wore when mixing the latest art:cast episode, namely number ninety-two.

Music architect Marcin Lukaszewicz, widely known under his Das Komplex moniker, designed the latest edition of the art:cast special series and constructed a mix so well-balanced and divine that it is shelter and home at the same time. With releases on Paramida's Love On The Rocks, Austrian label and music platform Luv Shack Recordings, Step Records or King Of Kong, where he released his Reverse Hallucination EP in April, the Polish artist has a selective discography with quality music to possess. For his art:cast Marcin chose what hits closest to his musical-being: mostly electronic music with a disco-esque note, a summer-ish vibe and warm synth chords to dive into like one would into the sea at a hot summer day to refresh. Maybe Das Komplex sucked up those last sun rays as dearly as one can and transported and implemented those feelings in his musical approach to ring in fall in the warmest and most beautiful way.
