@max-bunt aka Fabian is a Swiss native living in the picturesque Zürich area, working amongst other things as a graphic designer and a real underground head and digger. He is no stranger to the Cosmic music fans in Europe, being a regular fixture at Camp Cosmic, has earnt him a name among the heads for his unique mixes of often equally downtempo as well as weird and wonderful mixes that shimmer with greatness and leave listeners wondering what they just listened to, but all in the best of ways. He is a flea market fiend with an open heart and an open mind, searching for music from near and far, driven by curiosity and a longing for finding those goosebumps-inducing records. His taste is always in flux and we hope you will join him on this ride through his discoveries he made along the way. MM Cast 11: Sim Fossil (Mister T Records)

It's been a while since we haven't done any excursions in discoid territories, we've decided to go back to the roots in this new episode, back to the sound where everything  started, both as djs and as a label. 

The guys from Mister T Records have been doing a great job lately releasing a bunch of great editions and mixes signed by artists from the likes of Joutro Mundo, Sim Fossil or Dj Duckcomb among others.

Paris based but originally from Moscow dj, producer and collector shows us this time his vast knowledge and huge repertory of records with an outstanding mix where "funk" will be the leitmotiv of this new MM Cast.

Sim Fossil has always been fascinated by electronic music ,he started producing music at the age of 13 when he found his first inspirations in house and downtempo artists as  King Kooba. Later on in Paris, found his path in music with Mister T Records, calling the attention of well respected djs from the present underground scene.

Beyond the exclusive and rare digs you can find at Cosmos, the best feature of the store is the man behind the counter. Aki is always holding it down at Cosmos West (there is also the Cosmos East location a stone’s throw away) and is ready to share knowledge on his favorite records, whether rare groove holy grails or slept-on budget records.

A session between Lexis and Aki playing records for each other (and you!) in a format that Aki called “Rare Groove Kissa” (Kissa meaning “tea or coffee drinkiing shop” in Japanese).

Hey. Like everyone at the moment I have been spending a lot of time at home, so decided to do a mix (which doesn't happen very often for various reasons). With a vague idea of what direction I wanted to take, and after playing around and selecting lot's of different records and exploring various themes, a pattern began to emerge.
So here is the result, a quick mix with a decidedly strong Brit Funk vibe. I enjoyed the feel-good nature of the tracks, something we could all do with under the current conditions.
Made using two Technics 1200 turntables, a Bozak AP2 mixer and a stack of well loved vinyl.
