𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧, DJ and producer based in Granada takes the decks in 2016 as a hobby and seeks a more personal sound through mixing.

Attending techno music events, such as 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐬 at 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚, he gets closer to the genre and decides to move to Granada, where he gets fully into the 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐞.

He steps on a booth for the first time in 2018 as 𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐫, and begins his path as a professional DJ in Granada clubs. Influenced by friends, he delves into the world of production and presents his first creations on 𝐑𝐢𝟕𝐦𝐨, an Argentine label, specifically with his track 𝐕𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭.

Co-founder of 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐚, collective and label born in 2022, he expands his facet as a DJ and producer and collaborates once again bringing techno to teams all over 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞.

As of today, he continues working as a DJ and releasing his releases on different national and international labels. He is working to open his personal label, which will be released later this year.

This compilation is a testament to the innovative spirit of Luigi Madonna's imprint, Contempo, and a must-listen for enthusiasts looking to experience the cutting edge of contemporary techno.

"The Collective VA Vol.1" is  showcasing tracks from Alessandro Grops, Fvndo, Vxlr, and SYM. Alessandro Grops evolved from minimal sounds to a distinct techno style, earning acclaim from industry leaders. Fvndo, who is no longer a stranger on Contempo's radar after his "Reasoning" EP, showcasing a unique sound that resonates deeply with techno enthusiasts. Andreas Wechsler, known by his stage name Vxlr, hails from Berlin and has carved a niche for himself in the techno scene with his innovative soundscapes and compelling productions. SYM, a Techno DJ and producer from Barcelona, blends heavy grooves with dark sequences and house influences, continually evolving his sound beyond the 90s styles that first inspired him.

Opening the VA is Alessandro Grops who delivers "Depulso," a track that combines driving beats with an immersive Dark atmospheric Sound that creates a captivating journey. Fvndo's "Stimulation" offers a rhythmic exploration with pulsating basslines and intricate synth work, designed to energize and engage. Vxlr's "Side Chick" features a darker, groove-oriented sound with deep, growling bass and hypnotic rhythms. We’re back again with our second podcast of the new year and this one sees us taking a one-way ticket to Tayside in the form of young up and comer YTP, one of Dundee’s ThreePhase/Room at the Top collective. 

Having established themselves in the Dundee circuit, ThreePhase have been throwing some top nights which has seen the likes of Schematic, J-Wax and Rave Selekts heid honcho Tommy Holohan grace the Beat Gen over the past year or so with seminal Scottish duo Clouds already penned in for late March, which will be one not to miss. On top of the success of ThreePhase, YTP has also shown promise as a producer with two of his tracks ‘Rippin’ and ‘Move Ya Body’ featuring on the most recent Reality Club release. 

We’ve been had this one under wraps for a while now and have been looking forward to getting it out to you. Stop what you’re doing, fire this on, turn it up and blow away the January malaise with this stomper of a mix.
