Yant is a 24 year old DJ, producer and occasional sound engineer whose unique take on minimalistic, futuristic, yet raw and forward-thinking techno has made him one of the most exciting new acts to emerge out of the UK. The Manchester-based maestro melts mesmerizing rhythms with complex atmospheres, creating techno rough enough for the body and complex enough for the mind. His music has been released on Setaoc Mass' SK_Eleven among other labels and can regularly be heard on the dancefloors of clubs such as Fabric, Berghain and Bassiani.

EarToGround Podcast 9 - Casual Treatment

Stojche Cvetanovski (born in 1984 in Skopje, Macedonia) is just a regular rebel trapped in the urban chaos of the 21st century. The trigger factor that inspired him, was the local underground techno scene in Skopje. A city described by Derrick May and Juan Atkins as “the leading hub for Detroit techno on the Balkan Peninsula”. The expansion of the motor city sounds in the Macedonian capital and his mania for vinyl records triggered Stojche to explore his path and dig deeper in this futuristic music phenomenon. After a decade devoted to djing, he shifted to producing, and in 2009 he co-founded “Argumento Music”.

He is one of the names on the European circuit that broke through with contributions to labels like A.r.t.less, DMK, Conform, Subwax, Grounded in Humanity, Sounds Benefit, Freund Der Familie alongside others. In 2011 he launched his solo imprint “Tangible Assets”. An outlet that has given him the freedom to explore and refine his trademark Detroit – influenced dubbed out productions. “Tangible Assets” reflects a personal statement with emphasized appreciation for the techno history. His discography marked him as one of the names that is still pushing forward the timeless envelope of the initial “hi-tech soul” legacy.

In contrast, his dj sets provide further evidence of years spent behind the turntables, resulting in pounding journeys with a dose of emotional content. His constant pursuit for inspiration sits balanced with the pulse of the city life. Locked away in his studio in Berlin where passion and process all catalyze into waveforms of intense voyages, executed by a man who is well in tune with his craft.

His fast mixing techniques and a taste for old school records from the 90’s with real groove and funk have given him a strong reputation within the techno community. This reputation and bond with the community continues to grow for Comrade Winston, with his monthly residency at Operator Radio where he invites both established and upcoming talents from home soil.

The mix he recorded this time will be the second round for him on our series. His previous contribution was a live recording at our first event, this time our dear Comrade recorded a set that is an eclectic mix of the old school, the new and talent from Amsterdam. Ophon is a Dj and producer from Trier. Driven by his first raves, he started DJing himself in 2015. As a DJ, he established himself as an integral part of the Trier Techno scene. With his hard, driving but also groovy sound, he always manages to cast people a spell over. His first release followed in 2020. Now he has also been producing for a while with one of his best friends under the alias 'Percussion Ninjas', under which they also recently released a 9-tracks LP and the next one is following soon. As a permanent member of the SNRS crew, he is growing deeper and deeper into his passion!

Born and raised in Thessaloniki NOAS fell in love with electronic music since really young age and he started to exploring multiple genres since he was 10 years old. After many years he discovered what he love the most and he began to focus on his vision.

Although his young age NOAS succeeded to gain respect and great collabs with great artists in the scene, playing along side with great names and known for his storytelling sets, he never stops practicing and getting out of his comfort zone, trying new things. He believes that music has no limits that’s why his sets have an identity. His approach in techno music is really mature, intelligent and he blends deep and tribal with hypnotic rhythms with dark and punchy baselines that make you wanna dance from the moment you step in the club!

Berlin-Lichtenberg-based artist and vinyl enthusiast Freigeist is a true connoisseur of the soundscapes that characterized electronic music during the 1990s and 2000s. With a keen ear for house and techno rhythms, his sets contain crisp 909-grooves, twisted 303-lines and often wander widely through the genres. This time he has put together a set full of slamming, rich-in-percussion techno pieces from 1995-2005 for Kollektiv Synergie. His passion for vinyl runs deep, having built up a massive record collection over the last six years.
As explorer of playful beats from past eras blended with the freshest grooves of today, he never fails to create a unique time travel techno experience that transports the listener on a sonic journey through the ages.
Freigeist is co-founder of the Berlin-based group INTRA and resident of the Berlin-operating event series Unordnungsamt. He runs the format ‘Selected Wax’ on Instagram in which he regularly presents records from his collection to provide people with old classics and hidden gems from diverse facets of electronic music.
