I Luv Your Girl

On the back of his album Natura Sonora, Shika Shika co-founder El Búho offers up a refreshing new direction on this four track EP Tón Tón, exploring the concept of organic dem-bow. These tracks are inspired by the idea of taking a now global and commercial beat but seen through El Búho owl-ish lens, mixing his trademark natural sounds, laid-back beats and mix of electronic and acoustic samples.

The release kicks off with ethiopian jazz inspired opener “Get At You”, a nod to saxophone legend Getatchew Mekurya, before going deep into a driving collaboration with Chilean producer DJ Raff featuring scattered vocals and whirling saxophones. Sol y Tormenta features Ecuadorian MC La Mafianadina providing her kichwa flow to the Siku-bow beat. The EP ends with the refined electro-swing-bow of Marti.

Tras su álbum Natura Sonora, el cofundador de Shika Shika, El Búho, ofrece una nueva y refrescante dirección en este EP de cuatro temas, Tón Tón, en el que explora el concepto de dem-bow orgánico. Estos temas se inspiran en la idea de tomar un ritmo ahora global y comercial, pero visto a través de la lente de El Búho, mezclando sus característicos sonidos naturales, ritmos relajados y una mezcla de samples electrónicos y acústicos.

El lanzamiento arranca con "Get At You", inspirado en el jazz etíope, un guiño a la leyenda del saxofón Getatchew Mekurya, antes de adentrarse en una colaboración con el productor chileno DJ Raff en la que se mezclan voces y saxofones. Sol y Tormenta incluye a la MC ecuatoriana La Mafianadina, que aporta su flow kichwa al ritmo de Siku-bow. El EP termina con el refinado electro-swing-bow de Martí.
